43 minutes in and i thought i hope this goes on for another hour and shocked to find out it's the end soon. Just so sorry that it didn't work out, and the last one. You DESERVE a nice relationship and i think you have a lot to offer. Because you really are a nice guy. I've been there, it sucks bigtime. But than i was blessed with a wonderful guy who's snoring i use to hate (neighbors would comment) than i got use to it to the point it comforts me in a way. Stay safe.

I was married before, and later, in another relationship. All of it made me a stronger person. Now, my current husband and I had our 30th wedding anniversary a couple days ago (Aug 19). I had to go through things to get where I am today: happy. Still, if something should happen in this marriage, I don’t need someone else in my life. I get where you’re at. Also, you are extremely handsome in those pictures, but you’re even more handsome now! Maybe it’s your contentedness shining through. I know from my husband about needing to be honest with yourself (Thanks, Dr Bob). Your honesty is delightful. Thank you!

Oh I remember the days of going to the leather bars LOL. Been there, done that, seen it all. My younger days were around New Orleans. Wild place to be young and gay back then. I never thought I’d ever be married either but married my husband in Vegas a few years ago. Don’t ever give up. Sometimes you just gotta put yourself out there. Thanks for sharing.

I sure can relate to the manic depressive man. I had a boyfriend like this. They meet you they’re on a high. Then one day they crash. And, they are in the dark depression. It’s no reflection on you. It’s who they are. For our own mental health, we need to walk away from the relationship. SNORING! The kind where it’s so loud it’s intolerable. The only resolution is separate bedrooms. You’re the BEST story teller, you NEVER bore me. 😘

Steven, I have told you before that you remind me of my son & this video just reinforces that. You are so funny & so honest & you are definitely worthy of love & a relationship that I am sure is just around one of those corners. My son, too, had a relationship that didn't work out & his potential life partner (fiancé) had the good sense to NOT let the relationship go beyond their engagement. It was painful for them both & it happened at least 10 years ago, but my son still has periods when he struggles with doubt & anxiety. But the point is, you are worthy & so is he and I am sure you both will find someone to spend the rest of your lives with, if you want that. Stay strong, stay funny, stay sweet & stay safe.

I feel like it was very brave for you to be so open about your marriage. A broken heart is a broken heart no matter who did it 😜. I have married two bisexual men! One I was married to for twenty five years! Talk about painful, I loved that man. I never really even knew who he was because I was his “mask”. In the end we set them free. As you said, the concept of marriage was beyond imagination growing up, and what examples died you have to model your expectations and behaviors as coupled men? You tried and it didn't work out. We have a bar called the Ramrod down here in Fort Lauderdale…same song and dance. Lol Awe that was cute when you said “Pop” and then quickly changed it to Soda and then said “Pop” again… I find myself still saying POP also (I’m from DTW so we say that a lot). Sometimes down here in south Florida (I have to catch myself before I say it and just say SodaPop. Lol. Which I think is the correct term/name. I think that all the red flags were there from him snoring, long distance relationship, his mental illness and maybe even some insecurities on both of your parts, but I will say that was so sweet of your Aunt Joann and her husband (you’ll have to give us the scoop or as the kids say today..the “T” on why you don’t speak anymore) to have a “perception” party before your wedding, also it was wonderful that even your MOM (even though you don’t paint a pretty picture of her to us) and Aunt Peggy actually came to your Wedding!!!! Oh BTW the word is Wedding VOWS. LOL. You both looked cute together and like you said Kim and Brittany have been married at shorter times than you guys were. Lol Although you look like a tough guy you really are a softee at heart, (you really don’t like when people give negative comments), but ultimately you truly are a strong person, YOU have gone through soooo much in life to let their negativity shake you man.. (please write a book…you don’t need to do all of the old school hoops and hurdles anymore in finding publishers, editors, etc..nowadays…at least look into it (I’d purchase a book from You). THANKS for sharing another bit of your life with us.🥰

I was married once and that was enough. He asked for the divorce and years later I was able to admit that I was glad he did as if he hadn't, I probably would have tried to stay married and been miserable. I don't think about the anniversary of my anniversary...the day comes and goes as any other day for me. Never saw him again after the divorce as fortunately there were no children. He took the 2 dogs and I took the 2 cats. He literally sat down and went through the Christmas ornaments to separate them so he could get his half....what can I say about a man who had the same birthday as Hitler!? Do you have a nail file that you could file the tips of Buddy's nails down so he won't injure himself anymore? I never cut my cats' nails...the claw the heck out of their

I love your love story! I'm sorry your fam wasn't receptive. I've said it before and I'll say it again - I'm your mom now and we have no need for bullshit judgey disapproving people who think they can best decide who you can love. If you ever get married again I will stand by your side and give you away ;) I also didn't exactly dig my husband when we first met, somehow that changed and we've been together 31 years and I'M the one who snores! My last straw was when I asked my ex to stop cheating on me (I had just found out) and he told me if he stopped he would resent me for the rest of our lives. I ended our 14 year marriage then and there. I know exactly where we were standing in the house. 7 months and 1 day later we were divorced. I then had a year of a dark deep depression. It was bad.

Did you legally marry? I moved to Ontario before same sex marriage was legal. While I was there, it became legal and we thought by getting married it would speed up the same sex immigration process so I could work.( it didn't). It was expensive for the paperwork, even back then. When we separated, we had to get attorneys, get a legal separation and then the divorce. The attorney was so excited because it was going to be his first same sex divorce.

I too thought I wouldn't ever get married and I'm still not but I'm supposed to be but the day has never been set so far A lot has happened since we fell in love and we are still together and I miss him when we are not together I know he loves me to buy like you I never thought I would ever be married for the same reasons as you we are seven years together so I think it's Gona last until one of us drops dead! I see in you so many similar things even down to the leather bars I used to go too and all the things I've done in the past! I too love a drink but was not addicted to it But he is but has been sober for 26 years now,!!! I don't go to bars any more but do occasionally have a drink at weddings and funerals and the like he doesn't mind me having a drink I think because I don't change to much I just love to dance and I seem to attract other men around me who try to chat me up??? I don't respond and tell them I'm with someone He has seen it happen and usually saves the day by coming to the party and acts like he would be into a threesome witch frightens them away 😜😜😜

I like being able to look back at my challenges and how I've survived them and possibly grown from them. In recovery it's our greatest pains that allow us to connect with someone who's suffering to show them that recovery works. So sometimes pain is a wonderful tool.
