I was thinking just now what if in stead of Muffy, Urkel accidentally spilled something on TXL, broke Sam's model of his old ship or caused some other accident or disaster in the store. It would have been absolutely hilarious to see Sam go Carl Winslow on Urkel and chase him around, or out of, the store. Or he got scared on seeing Muffy and ran away. Or even better, what if Urkel scared Phil away before Phil could cause any trouble due to drinking? 😂😂😂

I sorta think a Todays Special's movie seen from the adults' real world perspective would be neat! It would focus on Jody and Sam working the night shift, they get bored and they basically dream up all the stuff we see in the kids' show. Jeff would just be an ordinary, random mannequin who doesn't come to life that Jody and Sam pass in the store all the time, and just named him "Jeff", there is an actual mouse in the store Sam and Jody decided not to kill, but they treat it as a pet, feed it and they named it Muffy, Sam would be an actual person, sorta a gruff old man, Jody is a working woman, a bit frustrated with her life, tired of working the same nightshift job..... so she and Sam just sorta daydream about a fantasy magical life during their downtime . I can actually see this happening, getting bored on the night shift, talking to the mannequins, befriending a mouse, etc.... I think it should be entitled "Today's Ordinary"

@Allison Bennett I'd say maybe the opening sequence kind of contradicts what really happens when Jeff comes to life. Maybe he was up in the children's department since the previous night, but I don't think so since other episodes say he's a mannequin in the downstairs window during the day.

Yeah. I have to agree with Allison. Somebody else must have carried him and not have known to say the magic words to bring him to life. Maybe they do have different night staff employees that we don't see. Just a theory.

Soup can be good, but why are they serving the Campbell's crap? 🤢 Also, I thought Jeff didn't know much about the outside world. How was he able to list all the soups? Is canned soup truly much better than a donut? I'm not sure, since they're loaded with sodium.
