Back in 1975 I worked in an outdoor drama called TEXAS, there was a young man we called him Chief. His Great, Great, Great, Great, Great Grandfather came to the show. He said when he was 10 years old, he got to sit on the ridge of the canyon and watched Custard get killed. When He came to the show He was 105 years Young and passed away 2 years later. I still have fond memories of those days

This looks AMAZING! Is there an Indian School too? I think it would be equally as educational to immerse in the ways of the Plains Indians for a couple of weeks as well. Learn how to live off the land, make your own clothes, set up and take down lodgings, track animals, make and shoot arrows, make coup clubs and ride bareback! Sign me up for that as well!!

Had no idea there was a school of this sort there, as a truck driver, I have, many times cut off from I/90 an drove US212 around the battle site, trying to visually see what the battle may have looked like. Now I guess I will have to go an participate in the school,,what a thrill that will be

A fantastic video, hope to get there one day (assuming it's still going on in the post Covid era). The uniforms are surprisingly good, some even sporting the "chapeau"-style slouch hat that was so detested by the troops... well done! I do wish there was less "shirt-sleeve order", though... wearing of the blue tunic was strictly enforced by most commands, and Custer was known to be a stickler for regulations. In fact, moral in the 7th Cavalry was quite low at times because of it. Additionally, the issued shirt at this time was a mouse-grey, half-fly pullover-type (I believe Maj Reno is wearing one here), rather than the Civil War era white version many of these students are wearing. Regardless, it looks like an amazing experience with a bunch of great people and horses... it's on my bucket list!

as someone who is a gigantic fan of the US, and Union, Cavalry this is like my dream come true. I have to try this before i die. My dad served in the military...due to me being half blind and needing medicine at a certain time every day....I'm forever serving from the home front. edit: definitely would check out that store there. I'd want to keep something there as a keep sake such as the saddle bags.
