Does anyone know what mpg one of these 5700xe will give you with 2.47 ration, d12 trans driving thru midwrst pulling avg loads 25,000???

This response is way late but if you drive it with the goal of saving fuel, you will get 7.5 - 8.0 mpg. You will get that with the DD16 (600 HP) also. I have direct experience with this truck. Driving it in the midwest, even with the DD16 600 HP, you will get 7.5 - 8.0 mph hauling those light loads. (*ratio - gear *ratio).

​​​@@truthseeker5890 you won't get a 2.47:1 RAR gear ratio with a DD16. You must have a DT12-OA overdrive transmission and 3.08:1 or shorter gears because Daimler will not warranty a DD16 equipped drivetrain with AMT transmission that has taller gears because of torque spike.
