So what happens if you are doing that for your kids do you have authority to fill that empty place with God's word even though they're grown up

Being that they are "grown" no you can not physically "fill" due to their free will/age/state of mind/spiritual status etc. However, you can and should fill via prayer and yes even without their knowledge of. It works! Prayers of Faith work, that is the law of God, how He set His Word up. The prayer of a righteous man availeth much. I know first hand a mother who is standing in Faith for her child who is 21. She even decrees in her war time over his dating choices. She's had 100% success rate! Every girl who was not who God would have him date bailed after the 1st date or even before. That is just one tangible example. He has verbally denounced the Lord and declared to be an atheist yet she never waivers. She stands firm on the Word that he will return to his border, that he is serving the Lord, that he will always walk the right road, that laborers will be sent to him to draw him back to his right spiritual mind. All through, this child has maintained a level of morality that most his age that go to church each week do not. She covered him, she drew a line of defense around him and the enemy hasn't crossed it! She does this all in secret, her child knows not of her war effort. She physically fills his room before and after each visit. She fills his home daily via prayer albeit hours away.
