I can totally relate to the 'I left my body' bit. I remember getting the cancer verdict. It seems surreal that the whispered c-word was in my body and I had to deal with it while so many people didn't even want to talk about it. Thank God for BRILLIANT Doctors and medical staff. I am Blessed with Miracle health and I am SO happy that her tumor was benign.

I had a meningioma the size of a grapefruit without any real symptoms. There are no symptoms I could associate it with it besides stuffy ears and pressure in the ears. The allergist didn't have much to say. I was diagnosed in 2011 and had my surgery a few weeks later. I am fine so far. It is a really scary to know that I was very close to death based on the size of the tumor pressing down on my brain stem. I live with the motto You only live once (YOLO) so that is how I keep on going!

YES so glad you are ok ! It’s so surreal (the word I think I’m looking for ) to think of how close to death we were ! I had gone to my doctor multiple times and many times to the ER with headaches , dizziness , vomiting , etc and they said it was nothing .... 4 years after constantly asking for more they found a golf ball sized tumour in the 4th ventricle not allowing my CB fluid to pass and days away from death ! Had to learn to walk , talk , everything all over again ! Cheers to our recovery and here’s to many more healthy years !!

Hi Denise, I’m glad you’re doing well now! I was wondering, did you have an dissociative symptoms like brain fog or feeling like you were floating all the time? Did you feel like reality felt off and that things looked more two dimensional and numb to you? Did you lose a sense of self when having the tumor? And if so, once removed, if there was dissociation or fog did it lift?

My friend recently had surgery to remove a benign tumor in her brain. It was quite easy to remove. They just went up her nose and took it out. She came home the same day. I was afraid they were going to cut her head open but I don't think they do that anymore if they don't have to.

I had a brain tumor 18 years ago. I also had to fight with my doctor to get a CT scan that discovered it. As a result I was diagnosed with Nerurofibromatosis.

Its not covered. Not for most people. Most of us don't even consider seeking medical care because we know it's out of our reach.

Wow that's hectic!! Could you not have popped into an OR & let Derek operate?? Lol wink wink, watched too much Grey's Anatomy!! Serious note though I am soo very happy you caught it in time & it was benign & all removed. Take care you are to young & beautiful to take ill!! ❤

Karma has a f*d up sense of plot twist to have an Actress that played a Doctor for several years get an Braintumor. This is crazy! I am happy she is OK now. Great Actress & humble person. Best wishes! ❤️🙏💐
It’s so ironic because pretty much the SAME thing happened to me but I had to relearn to talk and walk etc.. but NOOOO it wasn’t important that I almost died because I’m not famous ....

Wow, you sound bitter, think you would have sympathy for her seeing as you said you went through the same thing. And...yes....because more people around the world know who Kate is, not to be rude but we don't know who you are! If you truly went through a similar experience you should be glad it's being talked about, not bitter that YOU weren't the one to talk about it.
@shelbiee-976 жыл бұрын
Woodrose_girl not bitter at all hahaha , YOU sound bitter feeling the need to comment back ;) the only thing I was saying was that it makes me and many like me feel less than because we aren’t famous BUT we actually were days away from deaths door

Okaaaaay, but surely you are aware that celebrities with conditions/illnesses are always talked about more then 'normal' people!! And it's good that they do, so that can spread awareness. Me? Bitter? Nope. I was merely responding to a somewhat negative comment.
