If we need any type of midfielder, it is a world class DM, to enable us to play with two Box-to-box mids, which we have in abundance and easily the best players of our team fit this description (Mount, Kova, Kante, Gallagher, Ruben, probably even Havertz).What we lack is defensive stability and someone who can sweep behind them. We would see what Zakaria offers, hope he can enable us to fit more offensive players in the formation, but with a pure DM we can transition to 4-3-3, which would suit the players in our disposal best.

Box to box midfielders is the position we have in abundance. We have about 7 in the squad. We just need to use a system that uses box to box midfielders/number 8s. Bellingham would make a perfect replacement for Kova or Kante and you could imagine a situation where Mount,Gallagher,RLC, Chikwuemeka, Bellingham and Cisadae competing for the box to box positions. Mount and Gallagher could also deputise in the winger positions too.

To get Bellingham Chelsea will have to offer more than other clubs to Dortmund and his agent. Then they will have to offer Bellingham a more lucrative contract. The cost will be eye watering but unless Chelsea are prepared to go down that route, there's no point in pursuing him. Then Bellingham would have to want Chelsea more than other clubs. So shouldn't be difficult 🤣🤣

Looks like my Hey Jude tour reached Todd’s ears… I know a lot of people have had a fascination with Rice I get the narrative. BUT that money should have been put in front of Dortmund to get their attention and then ask how much more do you want? Before the FFP and not worth the price tag police come through, I’ll reference Haaland again. We pulled out because the money was mad. Agent fees, wages, father fees, whatever. Now instead we put money towards Lukaku, and his wages. Took a massive L, and bought Auba with his wages. Let’s be real, he isn’t a long term answer, so unless Broja bangs we are spending more money on another attacker. Wouldn’t it have been cheaper long term to put it toward Haaland and be admiring how many goals Chelsea have scored? You put the resources toward the young stars. Yes it’s expensive, but we spend it scattershot on several players who don’t perform anyway. We are rebuilding with a young talented team, and Bellingham is that in spades. I do think he actually goes to a legacy team like Real Madrid if I’m being honest, but we have to make major moves at this point to try.
