Todd Fisher Recalls Last Moments with John Belushi

I read "My Girls" by Todd Fisher and biography of Carrie Fisher during COVID- 19 pandemic. It really got me through it!

Oh, this was hard to hear. John called me shortly before he left the club, for him to call surprised me. We had always spent time together as a group. I had work in the morning and reminded him we were getting together the following evening. I have carried guilt thinking had I said yes, he may still be alive. I'm Christian, and John knew I didn't party. Now, hearing what you shared, what if he was reaching out to hear about Jesus? I'm in the book Wired. I, too, was uncomfortable being interviewed; the author showed up at my job. I hope what I shared reflected what a beautiful human being he was. Moments we spend with others should never be taken for granted.

What I think might have been the case (having been through my own crap) is that John may have reached out in hope. But he was who he was, and he did what he did. Most likely drugs might have killed him, or led to his death. If you’re still Christian, shed the grief & guilt and turn it over to your higher power.

Read wired as soon as it came out. I saw the John belushi documentary and felt it brought so much insight into his battle with addiction

I read ToddFisher's book "My Girls" and gave a full detail about Carrie fisher's engagement to dan John said to Todd "I wished that they stayed together" Tood said me too. Isn't that around the time that Carrie got back with Paul Simon?🤔
