Right now I'm a freshman in highschool, and I decided I wanted to be a Respiratory Therapist. At first, I wanted to be a teacher. Now it has changed into this. My dad has breathing problems and I see how it affects him, so I want to help others like him.

RT's always sit at the cool table in the cafeteria. It's a thankless job sometimes but the staff and nurses who are honest with themselves know they need us when the shit hits the fan.

Hi I went thru RT program but never took my boards. After watching this particular video I decided to go back and try to take my board exam. It's been a few yrs since I graduated but the NBRC and my instructors said to go for it. I am currently studying for exam hopefully I can take it this summer. Respiratory therapists look like Nurses. They are just Nurses who specialize in the respiratory system! 🥳 I am a nurse assistant and volunteered in the hospital already. I want to transfer to university for health science but I feel I should try this RT program.

I'm currently retaking and upgrading high school courses in order to get into a Polytechnic and science school as an RT. I hope It's worth it.

Show your interest in the program the the advisor, take your pre-requesites if you need to. If you want to do it don't let a waiting list stop you. I had to wait a year to get in and now that I'm in I am learning a lot and it's tough but really worth it.

I'm interested in starting the Respiratory Therapy program at a closeby college. I am in my last year of college until I obtain a degree in therapeutic massage and was curious in continuing that education. Respiratory therapy was my second choice, because PTA (physical therapist assistant) has so many regulations when doing massage, and RT does not. Any insight that you can give me that wasn't on the video?

Gene Strong there are tons of rules and regulations that apply to RTs since you would be in direct care of patients with pulmonary issues. Its a great career.

WPAHS respiratory therapists will stand and watch as healthy woman (though intentionally untreated for fluid-in-the-lungs) is transferred from a situation of being fraudulently Hyperventilated with pure oxygen to a situation of being fraudulently Trached and forcefully Hyperventilated, both situations intentionally planned in order to shut the big mouth of the victim, as she is knowingly forced on a path of indefinite intentional torture via the unneeded tracheostomy/ventilator, while the cognizant victim is unable (usually) to scream for help, as the ventilator and feeding tubes down her throat prevent her from doing so in the first instance, while the tracheostomy bypasses the vocal cords in the second instance, and both instances ensuring (for the most part) total control of the "patient" through total exhaustion via the extreme hyperventilation in both instances, as the "patient" (who knows that the hospital is trying to have her killed for her organs) is dragged 24/7 through the absolute worst mental and physical torture imaginable, for up to decades, all the while knowing she is doomed in the end, as when she'll finally be able to prove that there is nothing wrong with her (when they remove the "life support"), the doctor will give her a fatal morphine overdose, before the family knows what to do.
