This was a great storyline! Another genius product of Michael Malone. The story would make no sense if Marty just came out and said " sure Todd's innocent ... Let's all rejoice" it was exactly , because Marty hated Todd so much , that she had to wrestle with the pain of what he did, vs. him being innocent in these cases. And in reality a lot of women would have kept their mouths shut. It shows great integrity and strength on Marty's part to come forward as Todd's Alibi.

javon lambert Marty would have told the truth eventually (with or without Andrew) She was wrestling with what to do, because despite the "I love Todd fan club" He did incite a gang rape on her , tried to rape her 2x times and killed her boyfriend...so please excuse Marty, that she didn't run to Todd's defense the minute she found out he was innocent of this particular crime .....

Micheal malone is a " twisted " genius. He wrote great stories but only b/c linda Gottlieb ( then e.p.) & co writer Josh Griffith kept him in check. When he returned in 03 to 04 it was a disaster. The guy also has a closeted rape fetish in his writing. Everything is rape incest child molestation gang rape . Every A story every year. In fact powell was supposed to rape todd in the motel but the network said no fing way ! So it was just the sweat band gun to his head.

Without Andrew then there is no way that Marty would tell the truth. Because you're right Marty didn't run to Todd's defense the minute she found out that Todd is innocent.

Agreed! Great storytelling! Really interesting good plot and exploring a really serious ethical dilemma. But for Marty to keep that a secret is totally immoral, regardless of what happened prior, so it's good she told the truth

Yes, Andi, I understand... It's because you're a great cop that you think this town couldn't POSSIBLY have anyone else that might have committed these crimes. A good cop would investigate to find clues and proof that would lead to identifying the guilty party, not trying to find clues that will tell you you were right, it was who you were trying so desperately to pin it on from the get-go.
