Todd took a few minutes to answer Notre Dame Student "Mac" Brummond's question about his song writing process. Mac performed with Todd during the "Play Like A Champion Today" Concert and is a member of the ND Marching Band.
This is just a portion of his answer.

However he does it, I sure like it...He just hits on those humanoid tendencies that hits certain people square on. I can be listening to one of his songs and just melting into it. Another person listening to the same thing doesn't feel it at all. Todd's fans are super loyal because his stuff is the pinnacle to thirr ears!!!

Great interview, Mac asks good questions, which elicit a detailed description of Todds music writing technique. And a nice version of 'The Wheel ' thanks.

This is a cool little interview 😊 I got familiar with Rundgren just a few weeks ago. Great artist and producer. Loved Something/Anything. Anyone checked out his new album White Knight?

I would check out his strongest years: from Something/Anything yes, but the albums from 1973-78. Phenomenal music. Unlike he's ever achieved (saw Todd first in 1977). Wizard A True Star, Todd, Initiation, Another Live, Utopia from 1974, Faithful...

His White Knight album is quite spectacular for someone in his late 60's. As a bonus, he collaborated with other phenomenal artists on this album such as Daryl Hall, Donald Fagen, and Joe Walsh. I love the great diversity in his music from the early 1970's until now. Very multitalented and creative. That's why it's so fascinating to get an insight into his songwriting process.

I think Todd's White Knights album is spectacular for someone of any age. The man is ageless in so many ways.

it's always so jarring for me to see Todd use a normal inflection because I always think of him as this big eccentric man who sees himself as above everyone else because of his level of understanding for music. In reality, he's probably a pretty regular dude outside of music, but I could be wrong.

this is scary, I was just thinking about Todd Rundgren and he appeared in my feed. Was thinking about his album called "Liars" and thought he should do a second edition called Impeachable Shitheads.
