No one can write and sing a ballad like Todd. He is one of a kind and follows no one. Even himself. Ever changing and forever wonderful. His music will live on. Truly amazing.

F*cking brilliant. You said Yavor54. Love, compassion, and forgiveness. And the unbelieveble melodies. Thank God for Todd.

a perfect example of someone who has been consistent throughout his career. I was thinking of an artist the other day that has NEVER released a thing I was ever remotely disappointed in...He's the only one I could think of...God he is brilliant

He's put out a few stinkers IMO... One long year, Arena, and State come to mind but of those three I think State actually has a few worthy tracks... When Todd deviates from his biggest strengths melody and lyrical substance it usually doesn't bode well for either him or the listener. I really wish he would do a new original album with live instrumentation since it's been like a long time... Wasn't "Nearly Human" the last time he recorded an album like that? Seeing this and the awesome performances with Him and Daryl Hall on LADH make me pine even more for a release like this...
@TheMuse5810 жыл бұрын
Acoustribute I can't believe you think Arena is a stinker. REALLY?? To each his own I guess. :)
@Acoustribute10 жыл бұрын
I appreciated that he was rocking out on that album but none of the songs brought me back... I'm usually drawn in with lyrics first and didn't feel like he had a lot to say on that album... I thought Liars was his last really good consistent album lyrically and musically... I admit that I hold the bar pretty high but it's only because when he hit's a homerun it's in another stratosphere for a pop songwriter....

Todd is in a class of his own. Thoughtful lyrics, stunning melodies and chords punctuated by his beautiful guitar and vocals, add up to songs that work their way into my heart and stay there.

Todd is in a separate category for most of out here. Beyond the voice he gave us in the melodies and harmonies- is the continuous underlying message... Love, Compassion and forgiveness. That's what makes this artist transcendent.

WOW!! CAN ANYONE ELSE ON THIS PLANET SING FROM THE HEART AND SOUL LIKE TODD?? The answer is NOOOOOO! I've loved the man and his music for decades now (no I'm not gay!) and this one has always been one of my favorites! (Among many!) Now here he is, many years later and not a young man anymore, playing and singing one of his most technical and beautiful tunes and he freakin NAILS IT!! I think even better than the original studio version! Todd has always been a HUGE influence on me and his music has touched me and helped me thru some of the worst and best times of my life! Thanks Todd for always being there and always being true to yourself! All of us out here who have been lucky enough to experience your music, your voice, your love and compassion will forever be grateful! May God bless and keep you and keep you in his heart, as you have for all of us who love you! LONG LIVE TODD! Thank you to whoever posted this, it's a rarity and a gem!

A Master of sound ... musical genius. I'll never forget my first concert at Royal Oak Theatre. On the Bosa Nova tour, I got to be on stage .... randomly picked from some guy that came up to me and asked me if I wanted to. I was like yeah, right, sure buddy. But it was true! My friend and I got to be onstage for almost all of the concert. I found the true meaning of a dream come true!

He is........to alot of us...like you and me and many others. I'm going to Cleveland next month to meet my Ohio Todd Squadders and I'm going to the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame (which should have been in Philly, by the way) and ask why after 40 years in the biz he hasn't been inducted yet and what do we have to do to get him in there.............
