"Nearly Human..." One of the best albums out there that nobody seemed to get. This was one of Todd's best albums ever, and only a few people seem to really appreciate it.

I remember hearing the entire album on WNCX, when it came out, and falling in love with every cut. I went out the next day, a rainy Sunday, and tracked down the cassette at a paperback exchange store, $8.99 if I remember right.

He was thinking, "Now that's the sh!t". Not many second takes on that album. I read it was mostly live recording as he wanted to capture that initial energy. Can only do that with really special musos who are top of their game and loving what they are playing.

Have come to love this song with a passion and depth that surprises me from year to year. In its writing, composition and performance, there are no flaws or shortcomings. If you're here, listen a few more times and let it seep into your mind and soul and then share it with everyone you know. Poetry and rhythm and melody can move the world!

This would have to be one of my favourite albums period. Every song is great and the production is perfection. Shows what can be done when a great songwriter, performer, multi-instrumentalist and person (i.e. Todd!) together with incredible musicians get in the studio and play their asses off! Their enjoyment of being able to play on this calibre of songs is obvious when you listen to it. I would think that for them it would be a fantastic moment and memory in their careers. This is music that you can feel and listen to again and again. This was actually my introduction to Todd Rundgren. I am a muso and I am constantly telling people that for me he is my musical hero. Totally individual, unique and never sells out.
