Was Strandbar a real place?

It means beach bar in Norwegian. I remember reading somewhere that it's from a critical review of a Todd Terje song that states that the only place the music would be played and actually enjoyed was at a tourist'y beach bar, or something along those lines. Quite incorrect, but funny that he named the song after it.
