We are proud to present a special instalment of our Spotlight series, as this week we lay tribute to one of the true pioneers of this music we love and call House - one of the world’s most celebrated figures in dance music, the legendary Todd Terry!
Todd has helped define, and preside over the church of House music for two decades. By doing so, he’s successfully helped carry House around the world - introducing the sound to newer audiences whilst simultaneously representing for the original heads.
As a Grammy Award nominated DJ/Producer, Todd Terry’s credentials are as extensive as his discography and music catalogue spanning all three of his labels: InHouse, Freeze and Terminator Records.
It’s only right then that we present an extensive look into the world of Todd and his music through a selection of carefully selected & curated charts. Explore releases past, present and future across all three labels, guest DJ charts showcasing their favourite releases, exclusive sets and mixes + so much more. I’m an old house head from NYC. Partied to to your music at the legendary clubs like the Palladium, Sound Factory, Red Zone, the Tunnel, Roxy, Latin Quarters, Better Day’s, Studio 54, Webster Hall, the Limelight and so many others clubs that are now history and mere memories of a time that once was so epic in NYC. Your style inspired me to make the move from mixing hip hop to House music and taking the step in producing my tracks & mixes. THANK YOU TODD TERRY 🙏

crazy, the sp1200 has its own sound. Hearing it next to the other gear, it's easier to hear. Crazy.

Todd is a Master of House music he likes to creates in his Dj Sets but he plays Always same music and trucks , but it's his Music 😅🎉

I was a teenager in Yonkers, NY when I 1st heard Todd Terry in 1989 from a DJ friend at the time. my ears was amazed with sounds... it was genius. he's definitely a pioneer of the real House Music genre in my book.

The SP-1200 Just kills the Roland TR, the Pioneer really has great sound as well, its amazing the new Akai don't even have chance with any of these new drum machines, the sound quality is horrible on these Akai and when you think about what a great sound they had back in the day. Dope set!!

Which Akai are you talking about? He's not using one here is he? I don't see it. But, are you talking about the new Live samplers etc?

Yeah man the sp1200 sounds so dope. You think those drums/percussion on the sp1200 are stock? Or samples he did?
