My granddaughter is 9. When she was a little thing she pinched her finger so i took her into the kitchen to run it under cool water. I then took my hand and rubbed some water down her face and she said all better. If she comes over and is having a tough time she will look at me and say please wet my face. I take her in the kitchen and use my hand to rub cold water on her face. She uses that to reset. No matter what it is Grandma can make it better if after all of it i splash water on her face.

It's great to see someone teach their little ones how to calmly deal with matters and without covering it over with laughter. One can be considerate and caring, without over doing the whole thing.

I study human behavior and I just have to tell you how much I appreciate what you are doing. One of the biggest mistakes a parent can make is to teach their children to be emotional WITHOUT teaching them how to regulate those emotions. Parents often ignore teaching them how to REGULATE because it takes effort and sometimes can be frustrating. However skipping this crucial step can result in adults who are emotionally unstable, create Narcissistic behaviors, and lead to addiction. You are doing a FABULOUS job with your family. Thank you for sharing your journey and allowing people to see the difference it makes

Hello there, I just wanted to say I just got completely mesmerized and entertained as well as just some great recaps for me to think about and do things differently now that I am a grandmother I give you a standing ovation and how you handle and manage your children, especially those little boys and their Temper tantrums and trying to understand their emotions so I just wanted to say good job. Hopefully you already know that but you know just like you touched on one video for some reason I don’t know why women don’t stand behind other women and give women more praise and having a woman’s back or standing up for a woman or just giving compliments and saying great job for some reason, as you know, we are both aware so many women it’s easier for them to try to cut another woman down or say a negative comment and I just wanna say I really enjoyed literally I think I just sat here for about 2 1/half hours watching one video after another and dumb I can’t sit here all night but maybe this weekend I will come back and watch some more. You’re an amazing mother and your kids are beautiful and thanks for entertaining me tonight with your family and also helping me to relearn how to do situations when it comes to the little humans, so that I’m much better prepared this time as a grandmother take care and be blessed

This is only the 2md time I've seen this mom and son. This is the same way I was with my children, and never said "because I said so". As adults when we don't know what's going on, or don't understand nobody responds to us that way. An explanation is deserving of everyone, no matter the age. Learning to show respect for others is something from age 2-80. I taught my children consequences. If they made a poor choice I didn't think was the best way, but I still let them make decisions after I explained the consequences. Always used positive reinforcement, and they both turned out to be very successful!

My daughter is TERRIFIED of bandaids. She relates them to shots because she gets bandaids at the doctors office with her vaccines so we have to offer her a baby wipe or tissue to hold on the wound. She'll use bandaids on her dolls when she gives them shots tho so trust me they get used 🤣😭

@@tieshahamilton9048 she used to comfort her dolls like her dad did when she was a toddler. Cuz my husband would cuddle her and wipe her tears away but she stopped liking that cuz she "wasn't a baby anymore" Now her dad gives her a high five and after each one and goes "1 down one down 2 to go" (or however many she's getting) and then takes her to get ice cream. So she just comes and asks me to get her baby ice cream. I have to religiously remind her that babies "can't have" ice cream but they can have their bottle. She will just violently shove the bottle in the dolls mouth like "shhhh you can have ice cream remember?" 🤣🤣 Shes learning how to be gentle and use nice hands 😭🤷🏻‍♀️

I am going to be honest, when I saw a video of you while scrolling I thought: “Great another parent with their gentle parenting BS, this is why young people today can’t handle anything in real life”. Yesterday and today more of your video’s popped up, and I have to admit that I was SO wrong and far to judgmental. I think it’s amazing the way you teach your children to use their words instead of emotions. You giving them options gives them a sense of control. These kiddos have an amazing mom. ❤.

Thank you for taking the time to share this! It's kind of scary to open up on social media, especially when you're showing those vulnerable moments, but I really hoped this message would resonate. Being a mom is something I truly cherish, and I've come to realize there's no one-size-fits-all approach. I try to incorporate elements from various parenting styles-gentle, permissive, authoritative, conscious, you name it-because I believe parenting doesn't have to be all negative. Thank you for your kind words and support! 😊💖
