Adorable. What a beautiful happy family. My kids got their presents at midnight because Santa always seems to beat us home from Christmas mass. Christmas morning presents were part of the family gathering at aunties and grandmas houses.

I think this particular report may have been misleading. I saw another clip that said the toddler asked for scissors after he opened all the gifts so he could cut the Spiderman web shooters he found. (I was shocked when I saw it a s "cute" story on GMA, too, which is why I looked it up. 🙂

I was shocked by no one in the comments having a problem with a baby being up at 3 am and asking for scissors and not being made to go back to sleep instead. I’m a mother of a set of twins plus one and I know there would be no way in heck I would allow babies to have scissors. 😂 Thanks for the clarification everyone. 😂

I was 11 and snuck into my mom & dad's closet, found my gift, tape recorder!! I played with it a while, enjoying my new Xmas gift. Opened up Christmas morning and pushed play and my parents heard my voice that I had recorded.... hmmm how did that happen. Still talk about it every Christmas.

I might get a lot of flak for saying this, but this to me feels like a forced act. Something tells me this family told the girl to open those presents so they could get oodles of attention online. You don’t see a lot of kids doing immature, inexcusable stuff online out of their own conscience. Half the time it’s because a pathetic, moronic grown-ass adult is filming them on their fucking smartphone and wants them to “do it for the gram.” Once upon a time, we had PROPER influencers. They didn’t need to burn down their car or film a dead person in a Japanese suicide forest to receive attention and “clout.” They used their platforms to educate kids on important topics and subjects such as diversity, discrimination, the arts and the importance of friendship. They said to them, in their own unique way, “life is gonna suck really hard sometimes. That’s just the world we live in. But don’t let it simmer your sparkle. Keep being your amazing self. Be authentically you.” It is my sincere wish that true, unabashed leaders are born out of this generation and that they will lead our world’s youth to the future they deserve. But where do we start? Where are those leaders? When will they rise up? Where’s Charles Schulz when we need him? Hopefully they’re out there somewhere…
