Sorry about the AI thumbnail, I was sent it from the same artist I always use and had no idea they were going to use AI :/ I will let them know not to use it again! Also, for those of you that don't know why AI art is bad: AI art uses other artist's art without their permission, it also doesn't give them credit or payment or anything. AI is very bad for artists :(

What??? As an artist that has to be one of the silliest things I've heard. AI art is DIFFERENT from real art, it doesn't hurt real art in any way but people's egos. It's not the same thing.... and there's nothing wrong with using either or. Let's stop getting offended for others!

@@VllILE as a fellow artist, when a new ai model is in development it has to be trained somehow. the way people trained stuff like OpenAI for ai "art" specifically was using real artists' work - artists that DIDN'T consent to their work being used for ai training. ESCPECIALLY in a day and age when people start using ai for marketing, then realize they made a huge blunder and try to save face, it's important and valuable when people like KP listen and understand Why AI "art" hurts real, active artists in the industry.

@@catcatcadillac So the AI grabs art that is in the public web and modifies it to create it's own piece, that's art in itself. Image manipulators grab images from the web to make a piece themselves. As long as you don't copy > paste > sell then there's nothing wrong with AI using people's work to better itself and create its own art. No AI has copied pasted and profited out of anyone's art either. Also paintings and art pieces are public and anyone can take a screenshot, they're not NFT's and not all art pieces are NFT's either.

@@VllILE AI by itself can't profit, but PEOPLE using it absolutely can and do, i throughly encourage you to look up news about Adobe's AI plan and how they got shit for it, how Wacom tried the same shtick and got shit for it again, specifically because it's incredibly tone deaf to hold such a huge marketshare on the art industry and then make a mockery of their clients

@@VllILE I wanna see if your opinion is the same when your art gets bit of attention and when you have to deal with someone creating AI tool that can create art copying your style and methods at much higher speed and profiting off it and not giving you cent. Lets see if you still think teaching AI's to copy other people's work is still all ok and that copyright laws dont apply to them at all. And just because paintings and art pieces are on the web and in public spaces doesnt mean they dont have copyrights applied to them, they in fact do, just because you can screenshot them, doesnt mean you have the legal right to use them in any way you see fit, in fact you barely have any rights to use them at all

People are hypocritical, they hate AI pictures but go crazy when someone puts Jiafei in the thumbnail when she’s an AI scambot. Also AI is the future whether people like it or not, if people can’t accept that that’s their problem. Just ignore them and you’ll be fine. I thought the thumbnail was hilarious 😂

"they hate AI pictures" - people don't hate the ai pictures themselves, but the context of how they're created and what they represent, even after only 1-2 years of people trying to incorporate them in thumbnails/ads and stuff like that, they've already begun visually reading as distasteful and people develop negative associations with it, because it is in fact just cheap "AI is the future whether people like it or not" - it's not about liking or accepting it, it's about it not being legal and there not yet being regulations about it to protect copyrighted work, certain models even give outputs where you can see the resemblance of popular artists, which is where it gets shady. all the data that's been scraped from social media for the past 3 years also contains NDA and commission work which is not fair use. As more lame directors incorporate genAI into their work space to save money, more artists/writers/etc. are being let go for quick cheap art genAi has been used in software for years now and it sure is useful, now what's wrong with this ai craze is the people that own the databases and the way they've been scamming their way around law to make money with media they have no right to use for commercial work (generated images cannot be copyrighted). openAI ceo's also been pretty open about how hostile they're towards artists and there's even a history of Aibros training models to hurt specific artists out of spite I'm pretty sure you're the one being a hypocrite here because popularization of genAI and easy access to it doesn't concern you in the slightest as it has no effect on your life. Being annoyed by people openly expressing their disliking towards something and not wanting to support it is fine, but you call people hypocritical based on your own arrogance around the topic Also, there's no intelligence, it's a generative machine learning algorithm, saying "AI is the future" is just plain misleading and stupid
