I was so sad when you announced stepping away from reality tv,....... BUT god it’s so flipping awesome to see you actually doing what you love and are made to do. No counterfeit drama or shady business from fake friends and producers, just real people, real topics, and real words. The content I didn’t know I even needed

This was amazing. I love Todrick and have watched his growth and evolution over the years. I’ve never seen him as opened and relaxed as he was in this interview. You do an excellent job of putting your questions into context (telling a story) before asking your question. This really helps the person to understand what you are really asking and it helps them connect to you. Bravo 👏🏾 again! Tell Todrick I know exactly where Plainview is because my aunt used to date a guy from there! #TexasConnectsUs

Hi Bayleigh. This is my first video of yours that I have watched. I am a 51 year old (almost 52 - ugh) year old woman from Los Angeles. I am a big Todrick Hall fan so this came up on my recommendations. I really enjoyed your interview and I'll have to check out your others! Great interview with Todrick though. He is amazing. I did not know the information he shared in this video. I didn't know he is insecure about singing in front of people, etc. We are always our own worst critics. It is always so heart breaking to hear about how LGBTQ+ people have had to hide who they are to feel accepted in some situations. It also infuriates me to hear about people treating others less than because of the color of their skin, their gender, their sexual orientation, etc. I wanted to go and slap his elementary teacher who said that word to him! It ended up changing his life but it NEVER should have been said. Thanks for doing this video!

Great interview. Todrick's remarks on barbershops, rejection, and tensing up in predominately Black spaces resonated all too deeply.

When my 22 year old son was little, he was fascinated by Barbie Dolls...the colors and everything. He was curious but embarrassed to want to look at the toys in the toy store. We would go to the toy store and I would take him to the Barbie section and pick up some dolls for him to look at and hand them to him and say "Can you hold this for me while I look for some other stuff?". He got a chance to look and if he had wanted anything I would have bought it for him. What Todrick is referring to is the whole "Nature versus Nurture" concept. Do you unconsciously steer your kids towards certain things like outside chores and games for boys and inside play and chores for girls as a throwback to "traditional" gender roles or do you just encourage your kids to find, explore, and be whatever makes them happy. I hope we get more accepting and encouraging of people to just be who they are and love them for it regardless.

I will say that I was not familiar with his story before the interview. However, watching the interview you can understand how this world can break and divide us in so many ways. He said many profound things that can give any listerner an understanding of his path. Now I have not seen other stories but everyone should watch this because if you don't want to create a world where people feel rejected then it starts with listening and accepting. I loved this video and think it is one all should watch. Great questions by Bayleigh and truthful answers by Toddrick.
