I played with Dumi Mairiere in Seattle in his band, the original marimba Zimbabwe band. it is a delight to hear this music. i still remember how we did all his songs… funny how things change over time… this rendition is pretty good compared to the original once you get over the intro part… then it flows in that special way that creates a connection with something deeper something ancient

Dumi's band played some of the greatest music I've ever witnessed live. I saw them twice in Santa Cruz, and twice in Seattle. Has it really been 40 years? Didn't anyone ever film or shoot video of their performances?
