Further, when I face with some especial topics in reading I lose my confidence and couldn't understand reading and consequently cannot answer fast and correct. What should I do?

I am a bit confused. In the New TOEFL reading passage, once I complete the first passage and move to the 2nd, can I still go back to the first passage?. Also, does the time count down for each passage or it just counts down once for both passage?
