Sadly, I probably won't have the time to do math like calculating 3/4 of the data in the exam (taking into consideration that doing the simplest maths task under pressure makes me so anxious), but otherwise thanks for the great lesson. Probably one of the best on describing structure and data grouping as well as providing some advanced vocabulary that I've seen so far.

Hi, I'd like to say thank you for the content of your channel which is pretty useful for other individuals and me. A week prior to my exam, I couldn't undo the knot in my writing skill, but then, I have stumbled upon this channel and started being absorbed in its lessons whose no description of their high quality. Finally, I"d like to tell you that I have just got 7.0 in Writing this morning. Thank you very much

is it possible to make two groups like 1. Church of England, Roman Catholic, Other Christian,and second group is Non Christian and No religion?
@GeorgeChuy Жыл бұрын
Exactly as I think. The first three groups fall into category of Christians. Actually their attitude towards same sex marriage is quite similar.

I think "over the last 5 years" means the 5 consecutive years. However, in the table above, the years aren't consecutive
@jingdong3934 Жыл бұрын
I think so. I don't even understand what "the last five years" mean? If this essay was written in 2020, "last five years" should mean "2015-2020" rather than "2007- 2013"(which is a six year period , not five years).

Nicely presented. Please the fractions you used for non chrsitian and non religious don't add up for me. How random can we be? And how specific should we be with the math cos it seem way off when I calculate it

You have been teaching me a lot, I cant dismiss that but for the first example of the video, you made it so madly confusing, I mean there are thousands of ways to group that table and I think you chose the one with a poor quality and complicated resolution. Thanks anyway.

this lesson really makes me confusing! I don't understand how to write this table! Wait a minute, from 1989 to 1995, and the period is 5 years?????? (1995 - 1989 = 6?????)

For non-christian the increased percentage should be 2/3 (2/3*30=20) which is close to 19. Also, for no-religion (3/4*80=60) (77 approx. equal to 80 and 64 approx equal to 64). Correct me if I am wrong?

I watched all lessons from this teacher, and it was great so far. This report, however, I think has some problems. Firstly the first body does not have enough numbers and percentages. Secondly, one in five means 20% not 5%!!
@soemoe5087 Жыл бұрын
77%= three quarters and 30%= a third (you don't need to calculate anything). And she said increased to (not increased by). But her putting non-religion group into 4x group is not cool! She should have written about the 4x increase for people with religions and wrote the NR group in a separate sentence. (20>>>64 is not 4 times) My attempt to fix: Between 1989 and 2007, the support for same-sex marriage increased nearly four-fold across all religious groups, rising from approximately 5-10% initially to around 20-40% in 2007. The percentage of those with no religious affiliations was 20% in 1989 and 64% in 2007, in a stark contrast to non-Christians, at 5% and 19%. In 2007 the gap between Christians and non-Christians in support for same sex marriage remained stable at a ratio of around 6:3 respectively; the exception is the Church of England followers, whose gap with non-Christians decreased to 5:3. In 2013, the acceptance rate for same-gender marriage amongst Christians surged, surpassing half the population at 55% for Church of England constituents, 61% for Roman Catholics and 54% for other Christians. Meanwhile, the figure for secular individuals continued to increase, exceeding three quarters, whereas those with non-Christian faiths remained lowest at one-third.

It means 20. That's why she said less than one in five, since the figure is 19%, read the sentence again
