STEPS:
1-Prep the nail by pushing back cuticle. Remove shine using a 180 grit Gelous file. File the nail to reduce thickness, if necessary. Cleanse and dehydrate the nail plate with 99% isopropyl alcohol.
2-Apply a thin coat of Gelous Flexi gel and cure in UV for 30 seconds.
3-Using Gelous Sculpt-X gel extend the nail from the free edge to create the desire nail shape and length. Cure in UV for 30 seconds.
4-Still using Gelous Sculpt-X gel apply one thin coat to the whole nail including the extension. Do not cure yet. Apply a drop of Gelous Sculpt-X gel to fill in the area where the natural nail and extension meet. Using your brush pull product to areas missing product, add more if needed. Cure in UV 30 seconds. Remove sticky residue with a lint-free wipe and 99% isopropyl alcohol.
5-Using a 100 grit Gelous file, shape the newly built free-edge to the desired form. File down the surface of the Sculpt-X gel until an even surface is achieved and no shine is left. With a sanding block smooth the surface to prepare for colour application.
6-Apply a coat of the organically pigmented Gelous Colour FX of choice. Cure in UV 30 seconds. Apply a second coat and cure again in UV 30 seconds.
7-Protect your colour and add shine with Gelous Nail Armour. Apply one coat and cure in UV 2 minutes. Remove sticky residue with 99% isopropyl alcohol. Finish with your favorite cuticle oil.

You did a great job!! I wish you were my pedi tech. ❤ Most nail salons that I have gone to act as if this is soooo difficult to do, which may be true in the beginning of your career. However after 2 years or more?? I'm sure that you have encountered this issue, so why not work on doing a toenail overlay perfectly?? Safely make your clients feel beautiful and confident. Linda Setser you can definitely do this. in your case you would apply it in the morning with a special glue for skin. At night you would remove it and store it till the next day!

Brownskin Barbie acrylic is too hard/rigis to sculpt for toes. Thick nails need to be thinned put with a file/e filer.

i had to get both my big toenails removed when i was 5 due to very bad ingrown toenails. i’m now 15 and i’m so ashamed to wear opened shoes. i never take my socks off unless i’m alone and only a few of my close friends know about it. when i first got them removed i was so young i didn’t think anything was wrong with it i wore sandals one day to school and i remember how all the kids laughed and told me they were gross and that i was disgusting. i get asked questions from my friends like why i don’t go to swimming with them or why i never wear the sandals that i have sitting in my closet. i’ve been so self conscious about my feet for a long time. i want to get keryflex but i don’t have the money and i don’t even know if i can get it and it sucks.
