Glad to see that you rescued Oscar. Some only want the smaller Poms, but they vary greatly in size, and the larger ones are just as wonderful! My Tommy is 11lbs, but his brother Nickie is 23lbs. My cousin has him. They are a miniaturized breed, so its in their DNA to somewhat throw back to their initial 30lb sled dog size. They are little bulldozers by breeding, and tend to pull at their leash well in excess of their weight.

Yes you're so right! We actually had no idea how big Oscar was until we we knew we already wanted him. We obviously didn't want a huge dog because we would worry that Pepi would get steamrolled, but they are the perfect size match for each other! Traditional Pomeranians are bigger!
