The master of tight defending. Use to love it when he got tight goal side and poked his foot through somehow to stop the striker even touching the ball. Never seen anyone do it as good as distin !!!

Fantastic insight showing the ups & downs of a pro footballer. Sylvain came across really well, with his honest, say it as it is approach.He would make a great life coach as you believe what he asks of you he would already have such high standards himself. Brilliant interview and what a player if you look at his record and the number of premier league games he played over 500 games also what he said was true you would always see Sylvan back training in the afternoon on his own in his late thirties at the time he told me once that he did it to be at his age able to compete with the younger players he was still one of the fittest players at the club when he left.

I will give you Cahill not distin,good player but not a leader.l cannot name one standout character/leader at Everton since those 3 mentioned,if anyone comes back at me with Neville or Coleman I shall die laughing,the 90s were so shite I can hardly remember any standout players never mind leaders maybe Beardsley and kanchelkis in their twighlight years or Ferguson when he felt like it!try naming ONE great player we have had over the last 30 years just one?
