Great channel; nice to see guys who talk sense and aren’t too biased about what to expect from the visitors. Your spot on that this is such a head scratcher as to how each team sets up. Personally I think this is Forests toughest game in weeks, but Im trying my best to be positive. I’ve always seen Everton as a very big club so it’s one of those grounds that’s hard for us to take anything from. However, we won last time I went there; when Roy Keane was a Forest player still -- I think. Went on to go down though lol. Ad a Forest fan old enough to have gone to Forest pre Cloughie era. I am so happy that I got tickets for Everton away which will be my 15yo sons 1st away game in premier league; happy as I’ll get to see goodison one more time. We have season tickets at Forest and it’s literally impossible to get away tickets so am made up.

It's not their fault. Forest have been good. We have been shite up front. Even today against City we had the one big chance to go ahead but fluffed it. If Forest were nil nil at eighty minutes against Arsenal and Chelsea they would have stolen 3 points instead of just one. We have to have winning mentality even if we have no money to spend, looking down at clubs better than us isn't the way.

As a Forest fan, the way you guys play (like a mirror of us) honestly might be the toughest setup for us to go against. I expect a tough game at Goodison. you guys are hard to break down. If you play your way we could struggle. If you play any different and change to be on the front foot I would be confident in a win. It is a weird game, I think both teams might be scratching their heads at how to approach? Or I could be entirely wrong XD

They are always tough games at Goodison, especially with Yates suspended. I wouldn’t be surprised that Nuno went with a back 3 nullifying the loss of Yates. Before the December fixtures I would have taken a draw, but I think we will take a 1-0 back to the City Ground. Great channel, always honest. All the best for 2025.

We don’t often play a low block. We try and break up play just inside our own half. We can win this one but Everton are a very awkward side to play against. Spurs had a lot of possession last match but did nothing with it.

Big game this one. On one hand if we win this, I think it seals the deal for Dyche until EOS, on the other hand, we lose and lose by a lot I think Dyche is on the chopping block in January.

Everyone keeps saying Dyche is auditioning for his job, the takeover isn`t something that has been sprung on us surely he should have been auditioning since the start of the season. I`ve got no time for Dyche, Forest and Nuno have shown him up in terms of mentality whereby Dyche was talking about relegation in pre season. 8 wins in 37 games is not acceptable at any club anywhere in the country yet our fans think it is acceptable and furthermore back it! Get him gone, he isn`t the future so why let him influence a transfer window?

@@theblues8840To be fair Forrest’s team isn’t that much different to last season. If you look at their starting 11, it’s basically the same as last season bar Anderson and Milenkovic, and they finished below us. They also bought Jota Silva bit hes more of a squad player, he’s not better than Ndiaye for example. Their forward line especially the same that were with them when they finished below us are the same, Elanga, Hudson Odoi and Chris Wood. Mind you they do have a better than us and I would take all 3 of their frontline however its more complicated than just saying they’ve spent more because other than Milenkovic and Anderson, in truth it really is the same team that were struggling under Nuno and Cooper last season. This truly is a case where you can say it is as much to do with the manager as the team they got because they found a centre back partnership that worked, and he’s now got that forward line clicking which they weren’t last season under Cooper. Nuno is a manager that got Wolves european football multiple times so this is his bread and butter. If cooper was still there they would not be doing this because he had these same players last season and did f all. He really is a top manager which we also don’t have, as well as not having a great team

Both teams were in false positions last year, we was overachieving finishing 11th/12th with a relegation zone budget while they was underperforming. If you can’t accept that they were underperforming then god help you because the proof is in their transfer business and their underlying numbers that said they shouldn’t have been near the relegation zone.

@@theblues8840I do agree they did build a very good side I would take most of their players but I do think football is more complicated than x have spent more money than therefore. It also is about coaching and having a good management system. Cooper had these same sets of players and did f all with them, but they brought in a top class manager in Nuno and now they’ve improved. I’m not saying we would do the same under a new manager as a massive massive overhaul and reset is needed, however I also don’t think that if you just add more money and sign better players that overnight we get better. For example if Dyche stays as our manager next season which is unlikely I don’t think its as simple as we give Dyche loads of money and better players and therefore we improve. We also do need a high level manager to coach these players and get the best out of them. All I’m saying is I don’t think its as simple as they have more money, “Therefore” is all I’m saying. Nottingham Forrest doing well is more to do with Nuno than anything in my opinion, they have a good team but it did take someone like Nuno to do what they’re doing

@@jorgeandrade783 of course it’s not all about money, money gives you a chance but if you waste it down the drain then that’s no good to anyone so how you spend money is also key. We physically don’t have a chance of flying up the league unless we invest money like a PL club. Also Steve Cooper has never shown he is a PL level manager, whereas Dyche has shown he can get a poor team into Europe if he’s got goals in his team, Nuno is basically Dyche but with better players

Been saying it for years that Wood is much better than DCL so I’m glad that it’s become clear now. Wood having 10 goals from 6 xg, DCL would have 2 or 3 goals with that level of service. God knows why Mike thinks DCL would be on double figures right now if he was playing for Forest, pure delusion.

Another teak tough game and then it's Bournemouth after that. We've had some really decent results of late but still can't get away from the fact we've still only won 3 football matches all season, it's a disappointing win ratio there is no denying that at all.

I think we've had a run of luck not a run of form. We've all seen the story for 4 seasons. We somehow sneak past the top 4-6 titans but fall to the teams we "should be beating but are above us in the table" Forest and Bournemouth have actually thoroughly kaboshed the titans multiple times and more or less been on pace for 1 point a game for the rest of the lot.

The way to score goals is buying someone with the ability to score goals regularly in the PL. We haven’t done this for years, people think the likes of DCL and Harrison are prolific because of decent form years ago, by this logic we should bring Holgate back too. We rightly binned off Holgate and there’s plenty more that need binning too

I do agree with this Blues, but we also have Broja on the bench who we could try and give a good go, but he chooses to start DCL rather than Broja. So I do think that decision is on the manager as well. Maybe he’ll play Broja against Forrest but if he plays DCL rather than Broja on Sunday then you can’t blame DCL you gotta blame Dyche for that. There is zero excuse not to start Broja, he’s fit now, he looks quality. Give him a go.

we need pace, cut backs and a clinical bagsman. DCL would be decent if he had a dependable chance creator but he's temperamental now cus he's asked to the dirty work for 2-3 seasons without one reliable creator who can make 4-5 chances for him in the whole season. He gets half chances so he snatches away at them. He still thinks he's a "young prospect" so he has terrible composure.

Reality is that DCL has missed more big chances than Wood has this season despite apparently “getting no service”. Wood has 10 PL goals compared to DCL’s 2 goals, Wood converts 30% of his chances compared to DCL who converts 5%… Also when you say “get off his back” you do realise that you’re having a go at his teammates when you say “DCL gets no service” 🤦‍♂️

We need to attack them straightaway. With Broja instead of DCL and Ndiaye instead of Doucoure. Have Coleman and Young as the oldest RB and LB pairing in the PL. Lindstrom in front of Coleman, McNeil (if fit) in front of Young. Gana and Mangala in the middle. Pickford, Tarkowski and Branthwaite finish off the eleven. If McNeil is out - then Lindstrom on the left and Patterson on the right wing.

Everton are dead last in xG goals for. But top 7-8 in xG against. 9 men defending every game is keeping us out of the bottom 3 but we need pace. And one guy that's clinical. Chermeti and Beto desperately need game time. Long-term these are worrying signs. DCL is gonna leave anyway cus the fan base treats him terribly. So we need to sell him before he can sign a pre contract agreement. Package and sell him with Branthwaite on January 1 to a manchester club, whichever one is more willing to part away with the dosh and a pacey academy winger.
