Very cool macro! Thx Nick! In our game same PCs have torches and some have lanterns. So I added both macros. But if you click on torch with lantern on, the macro doesn't work right. I fixed this with this code: Torch: !token-mod --flip emits_bright emits_low_light --set has_directional_bright_light|off has_directional_dim_light|off bright_light_distance|20 low_light_distance|20 Lantern !token-mod --flip emits_bright emits_low_light --set bright_light_distance|15 low_light_distance|5 has_directional_dim_light|on has_directional_bright_light|on directional_bright_light_total|45

I have a low of downwards facing tokens so I added in a directional_bright_light_center#180 to mine, so that the light shines down from token instead of up, but for whatever reason I still keep having issues with "Lantern/Flashlight" on/off. First time I do either on a token, the torch on/off works perfectly fine (mostly, I had to set a thing that forces it to transparent cause for some reason it wasn't working sometimes otherwise), but when I go to the do the "Flashlight/bullseye" , it never works right away. I have to turn it on, edit token, which lists all the correct values, but isn't working, then save it, and that actually turns it on, and then the toggle works from there on out. Mildly annoying.

Thanks for the video, Nick. Question for Shadowdark. Would there be a way to set a timer to flip the switch after a torch has burned for an hour? That would be super helpful. Thanks!

I did not know about the "flip" command! Thanks again for a very clear how-to video. One comment though regarding putting all the set commands on a single line: I usually set up my macros like what I show below, because for me it's much easier to check for typos or other errors. Is there a specific benefit to putting everything on one line instead? (The macro below turns off the directional light in case the token already had it turned on for another reason - this is a scenario specific case) !token-mod {{ --set emits_bright_light|on bright_light_distance|20 emits_low_light|on low_light_distance|20 has_directional_bright_light|off light_color|transparent --ignore-selected --ids @{target|Target 1|token_id} }}
