During this Ijlas-e-Aam, the two prominent speakers Moulana Rabbani and Moulana Jarjees put forth their thoughts in a very delightful manner. Moulana Rabbani explained that Allah SWT created the entire mankind and the jinns with the sole purpose of glorifying and worshipping Almighty Allah, The Creator of all things that exist. Tawhid is to believe in the oneness of God. Mere believing in Allah is not enough, it takes a world of actions to attain the pure Tawhid. The Messengers of Allah and the Apostles of Allah were sent to various communities of the world with the sole responsibility of spreading the Tawhid amongst the masses. Even the Sufis attained Qurb-e-ilaahi (Nearness to Allah) only due to their Tawhid in Allah SWT. Tawhid is not just believing in oneness of God, it is also firmly believing that Allah is solely responsible for everything that has happened, that is happening and that will happen in future. Allah is the sole creator, the only sustainer, most merciful, most affectionate, most gracious, most powerful, most exalted, the only judge of our deeds, the only punisher, the only forgiver, the only healer, the only provider, the best planner, the best teacher, the best guide, the only acceptor of our supplications and prayers, the omnipotent & omnipresent, the most humble, the best helper, the most trustworthy, the most praiseworthy, the only divine source of everything etc. Our Tawhid should be as stated in verse 44 of chapter 40 of the holy Quran "Wa ufaw-wizu amriii ilallaah; Innallaaha basiirum bil-ibad." (Translation : My affair I commit to Allah; for Allah (ever) watches over His servants.) ie, the servants of Allah should commit all their affairs to Allah alone; whatever may be the outcome of their situations. The servants of Allah should always be pleased with Him whether the results of our efforts or situations favour us or be against us. Further our Tawhid should be as stated in verse 41 and 42 of chapter 44 of the holy Quran "Yawma laa yugnii mawlan am-mawlan shay-anw-wa laa hum yunsaruun." "Illaa mar-rahimallaah; Innahuu Huwal -Aziizur -Rahiim." (Translation : The Day when no protector can avail his client in aught (in no amount or in no way) and no help can they receive. Except those who receive Allah's Mercy, for He is exalted in Might, Most Merciful.) ie, our Tawhid be such as we should firmly believe that no entity, no person can protect us even in a small proportion and nobody can help us, except those who Allah wishes to receive His mercy. For Allah is All mightier and most merciful. Our Tawhid be such as we should be ready to die in the way of Allah and in the name of Allah. The Tawhid of little boy Ismail was such as he was ready to sacrifice himself to fulfill the will of Allah and the Tawhid of Prophet Ibrahim was such as he was ready to sacrifice his son to fulfill the will of Allah. Every chapter of the holy Quran describes as well as teaches us about Tawhid. The very purpose of our human life is to attain Tawhid and attaining Tawhid is only possible when we submit our will to Allah and lead life to fulfill the will of Allah. To lead life to fulfill Allah's will is nothing but "Sirat al-Mustaqim" or "The straight path". It is hightime for all of us to introspect so as to accept and rectify our sins and mistakes. Only when we rectify ourselves, we can attain Tawhid and walk through the "Sirat al-Mustaqim" or "The straight path". Further, Moulana Jarjees explained that the best human being to be followed is prophet Mohammad (PBUH). The Quran declared prophet Mohammad (PBUH) as Rahmatul lil Alameen - meaning 'Mercy for all the worlds. Prophet Mohammad (PBUH) is considered as the benefactor of Humanity as he led people towards attaining Tawhid ie, towards walking through the "Sirat al-Mustaqim" or "The straight path". The first chapter of the holy Quran, the Al Fatiha teaches the believers in oneness of Allah to seek "Sirat al-Mustaqim" or "The straight path". For the believers in oneness of Allah, no prayer is complete without the recitation of Al Fatiha. The holy Quran states to follow prophet Mohammad (PBUH) in all the matters concerning the Deen (Religion). In other matters such as scientific inventions, technological studies, discoveries and historical studies, geographical studies, space research etc, the best in those fields are to be followed and studied accordingly. It should be clearly understood that Allah's Deen (Religion) and the religious practices of prophet Mohammad (PBUH) is a way of life and not complete life. Islam teaches us to be fair in our dealings and prescribes us to document the process involved in our dealings, but in no way it teaches us how to establish and run a successful business. Another example is Islam teaches us how to slaughter animals and prescribes which animal is halal for us, but in no way it teaches us how to establish a meat shop and successfully sell the meat. Therefore Islam teaches us the etiquettes of life in every sphere but in no way it teaches us the actual science, mathematics, engineering, medicine etc. In chapter 3 verse 31 of the holy Quran, Allah commands, "Say, ˹O Prophet,˺ If you sincerely love Allah, then follow me; Allah will love you and forgive your sins. For Allah is All-Forgiving, Most Merciful.” May Allah SWT guide us all towards "Sirat al-Mustaqim" and also help us to understand and accept the practicalities of life.
