@@Sellsor I thought so. Visually it was incredible. But it felt more like a Manga promo at times and the jokes rarely landed. So idk if that was the writing or the manga itself. But most people enjoyed it so even I’m surprised it’s getting a reboot.

I cant wait to pick this box set up later this month. I had been thinking about picking up the single volumes since watching the anime and this gave me a good reason to jump in. Also is this the first box set that yen press has done? If so it looks like they knocked it out of the park on this one.

Excited to hear that you are getting into it! It's such a good series. They definitely knocked it out of the park! They also did a box set for Pandora Hearts called the PandoraBox. I think you can only buy it on the Yen Press store right now but it's a beautiful set and one of my favorite box sets to release. I have a review on the channel if you'd like to check it out! They also did an SAO box set, but of the light novel. I think they have some other light novel box sets too, but they only have a couple manga box sets. As far as I know, these are the only ones they've done, but I really hope we see more in the near future!

Looks great! Is there any physical difference from the volumes in the box set vs the regular volumes? After the My Hero Academia box set this is just something I gotta ask now.

I heard that about the MHA box set! It's a bit more difficult for Toilet-bound, because it looks like they switched from printing in the US to South Korea for the regular volumes. I actually have the individuals on hand, because I started collecting them before the box set was announced so I can check. I bought my volumes a while ago and volume 1 is printed in the US, but the more recently released volumes, like 17, are printed in South Korea. The box sets volumes are all printed in South Korea, but unless you find them at secondhand stores as printed in the US, the volumes you'll find now in store are most likely South Korea prints which are the same quality as those in the box set. I didn't notice any difference in print quality when reading the box set from the singles side to side, but for some reason, the US volumes I was able to pick up are a little thicker in size than the South Korea prints. Sorry for the novel, but hope that helps!

It really helped me! At least knowing that the location of the printing didn’t drastically changed the quality like with other publishers. Them being delivered in a box seems to keep them from being damaged too, my regular Yen Press volumes always arrives in terrible condition. The box looks great except that I wish the bottom was a bit more reinforced. The volumes looks a bit to heavy for the structure. But I can always store it laying down ;)

@@Nervous101 Sometimes🤔 But most of the time I get volume 1 to see if I’ll like the series and then get 3 volumes at a time. Three volumes is usually one arc. But the hype of the anime got to me and bought a bunch. 🫣

Not a fan of this box set (nor the Chainsaw Man one) for one reason, it's only Volumes 1-10 when the series is still on-going and has up to 19 volumes and either will continue to keep going or will end shortly...either way, I find it annoying for so small of a set. The appeal of box sets for me is getting most, or in some cases, all of a Manga series in one purchase, along with the usual extra goodie(s). They could've easily held off and waited until the series finished and do 1-2 sets, depending on how many volumes it ends up having. Stuff kick Death Note, Tokyo Ghoul and Full Metal Alchemist having their 12, 13 & 27 volumes all packed into one set, or Bleach and Naruto's 70+ split into 3 sets. If Toilet-Bound hits the 20s, 30s or even 40 Volume range, what was the point of doing a 10 volume set, when a 20-30 range could be packed into one nice box instead of 2...or omif 40+, in 2-3 sets instead of 4, if they stick to 10 volumes pet box. Either way, not a fan and think it's a weird an unsatisfactory direction for Box Sets to go down...
