Jorge Vazquez it probably helps with peripheral vision, or even how fast you can react to movement, but it doesn’t improve your aim directly because 2D aim doesn’t translate into 3D aim well. It can help you improve just not with your direct aim, (forgot to mention it can help with hand eye coordination as well)

I actually do opposite for now. I play different beatmaps but return to the one i like when i am bored (i am newbie though, only 23h played). Some maps are just not well made and i dont talk about how hard or easy they are but how good they fit to the music. For example some maps support music, some maps go with syllables (it is most often thing with Japanese songs), some try to be drams of the song and a lot of people who make maps often change their method during song and it feels bad in the end. Or some maps go with music but for some reason increase speed of sliders (while song itself is slow). I can play it but i don't enjoy because it doesn't fit music. Since i am a noob and can't still play most of 3 star maps, my favorite maps are some two korean songs "Yummi Yummi" and "What is Love by Twice". Apparently they are made by the same person (but i am not sure). I know they are kinda easy, but the flow of the music and map really does have harmony. I hope these maps on higher difficulties don't lose it.

Im playing osu for like 6 months now, and I have found out that the Glorious model O is actually a really good mouse for osu, today I have beaten my first 4 star map, and while watching replay, i just realized how accurate and fast my cursor movements are, but I also find out that having a large mousepad is also very important

Also, most pp farmers generally deserve the rank they get to some extent because most people with any sort of relevant rank are active farmers themselves

And yeah my memory is really rusty now and this is kind of based of when relevant rank level didn't all have the same plays because pp yknow? I think the whole 'they don't know what to say when they're asked what you're good at' is still kinda true because there's nothing outstanding the pp farmer is good at since they can do what everyone else around them do

There's one more interesting (as it seems to me) type - NF-players. Even though they have decent skill, most of the time they play with NF because they just wanna enjoy the music and release their bursting energy by clicking smth. They can beat the map but they hate when there is a hyper hard moment where they can fail and music will interupt so they keep NF on and they don't care about pp's, ranks and stuff.

actually, 8 digit is possible now if you have exactly one map play worth 0pp (maybe ai no scenario HTEZNF without hitting anything) (so you get bonus pp) which makes your pp something like 0.5 which makes your rank over 13 million.

The song choice for new players hit me so hard. When starting out I spent so much time grinding that fucking song. I just had a god damn ptsd flashback to the horrors of learning all the different ways the 3 star version of the map would stack its circles. I remember thinking "Wait, they can't do that" after seeing each new section. The best part? I'm still there, I'm still grinding the song. At night, all I hear is "I wanna be ur man, ur lvr & ur fren do du do dooouuuu...." over and over and over and over...

Very wrong info about mouses there. Lazer mice have accelleration, which makes them less accurate. Optical mice are more accurate and better, but you need a good sensor (like a 3360 or something).

2:37 Common misconception. Higher end Optical sensors are often better than laser sensors. Most higher end Logitech nice use the pmw3366 sensor which is considered the best.

Oh hey, I'm a mouse player. Started playing back when I had my G502 and now I use the G903. I also have an all-wireless setup. I can manage to pass a 5-6 star map but I can only FC 4 - 4.5... Also, I was the guy that tried to improve his aim but I actually stuck with a mouse. I do a lot better in CS now that I've trained my aim a bit :D

iirc the vast majority of mice with lasers have a very small amount of mouse acceleration, even if they're "gaming mice". Stick with optical. And yeah, even the G203 is competitive and it's $30.
