Bognor Regis also known as Bognor, is a town and seaside resort in West Sussex on the south coast of England, 56 miles (90 km) south-west of London, 24 miles (39 km) west of Brighton, 6 miles (10 km) south-east of Chichester and 16 miles (26 km) east of Portsmouth. Other nearby towns include Littlehampton east-north-east and Selsey to the south-west. The nearby villages of Felpham, and Aldwick are now suburbs of Bognor Regis, along with those of North and South Bersted. The population of the Bognor Regis built-up area, including Felpham and Aldwick, was 63,855 at the 2011 census.
A seaside resort was developed by Sir Richard Hotham in the late 18th century on what was a sand and gravel, undeveloped coastline.[6] It has been claimed that Hotham and his new resort are portrayed in Jane Austen's unfinished novel Sanditon. The resort grew slowly in the first half of the 19th century but grew rapidly following the coming of the railway in 1864. In 1929 King George V spent three months in the area recuperating, and later that year the town's name was changed to "Bognor Regis" by royal consent. Butlin's has been present in the town since the early 1930s when an amusement park and zoo were opened. A holiday camp followed in 1960 and this has more recently moved towards hotel accommodation with modern amenities.

Sadly, like most seaside towns which lack investment, the seafront always has a beautiful facade but even the first street back behind this is run down and dilapidated!:(

@TuppenceBros honestly, it's not through lack of funds, Arun council has the funds needed but prefer to spend it on things such not needed. When I was about 14 they decided to erect a statue in the town which stated it was the sunniest seaside town in West sussex, instead of focusing on the areas of the town and surrounding boroughs that need serious renovation. It has been that way my whole life xx

@TuppenceBros Absolutely awesome video to watch and I just can't wait to see the video of when you go to Brighton in east Sussex as I'm just not quite sure if there are going to any arcades in Brighton because I just didn't even know if there were any arcades in Brighton when I went on holiday for two weeks in June or July as last year as I went on holiday with my older brother Jonathan, my mum and dad and my nan in Hastings as we stayed at a caravan site called Coombe Heaven on Harley Shute Rd, Hastings, Saint Leonards-on-sea which is having to wait for a bus just outside the campsite or we used to have to go down a really steep hill and get the bus that goes along the main road into Hastings or goes along the main road in the opposite direction to Bexhill On Sea, Eastbourne, Sidley and Brighton.👍🙂

@@TuppenceBros Okay no worries and I will definitely have to check that out when I go on holiday with my mum, my dad and my older brother Jonathan for two weeks in Hastings Sussex in June 2025 because we are thinking about going on holiday there in June next year from the 7th of June 2025 to the 21st of June 2025 as I will be going out and the new part of the town in Hastings town centre and the old part of the town in Hastings town centre as well as going to places like Bexhill On Sea, Rye, Eastbourne and Brighton even though Brighton men's football stadium is not in Brighton because it is actually outside a train station called Falmer which is in between Eastbourne and Brighton as you can see it when I'm on the train from Hastings to Brighton!😊👍
