How about doing a podcast on the derivatives market? They had to create a word - quadrillion, to describe this sector. Blockchain is perfect for this market. Derivatives -> RWA -> EVM.

First you need the assets on-chain to have a massive derivatives market. It’s also going to be a very different derivatives market with on-chain assets just bc you can do so much more. That legacy derivatives market is unlikely to be moved on-chain In the same scale or quantity as tokenizing RWA’s securities, commodities, CREDIT, bonds, private equity, public equity, FUNDS, and many will ultimately be natively issued on-chain in next few years. With DeFi being the defacto on-chain financial system and marketplace, the new derivatives market will be born out of there and its already begun with perpetual futures DeFi protocols (GMX) and CeFi perpetual futures, and there’s a few options protocols but this sector is set to massively expand as more and more value is moved on-chain Interesting part is that native crypto assets and gov tokens from protocols/DAO’s are also in the mix. It’s pointless to to discuss the legacy derivatives markets as they will continue on in legacy markets for many years We should focus on the new derivatives market that’s being born out of DeFi and tokenization of RWA’s on-chain It’s going to be getting interesting very soon

I don’t think the property can accrue value faster than btc. But if you want to buy a rental property: I will sell you mine for btc. The address is 10 sayre st Elizabeth NJ. Zillows shows 900k + But if you make a fair offer, I can get you into being a bag holder for the US dollar really quickly. Honestly, I would feel bad about it though, bc you will lose btc on the deal.

It is not about the building in technical terms, it’s mostly about the legal. Real estate has depreciation and other things to contend with, government regulation, taxes, legal disputes…… This is harder to do for real estate. You can’t compare the tokenisation of the dollar to real world assets. The second point is, where do you tokenise this? Government services will not be put on any of the open blockchains, governments and institutions will never be buying ETH to pay gas fees, that’s a pipe dream. We already have USDB with the interest baked in in crypto, Maker DAO also has this interest bearing product already.
