B: You know what, that looks like- this is your awards in the background, right? Oh, Georg has the same background like you, Tom. You guys have all your awards in a little cabinet. G: Yeah. It's my shrine. T, playing with filters: I have no awards. And I have no filter on either. B: Is Gustav online too? What's he doing? T: I haven't seen Gustav on Discord, so I don't know. G, reading a comment: "Love from the Philippines." Love to the Philippines! B, singing: Hi, guys. Hello hello helloooo. How is everybody? G: How long will your filter game go on? T: Yeah, this is good. G: See, Tom, I haven't shaved for a week. T: Is this one week? It looks pretty good. I wanted to say you look pretty good. B: Yeah, you look pretty good. You should put a filter on top, but… T: Yeah. But shave everything except the mustache. B: The mustache! G: No. B: Hi guys, hello everyone. I love that we're on here like we're on a phone call. G: Yeah. *[editor's note: This is the point where my video begins]* B: Hello everybody. Thank you for joining us live. We thought, "Let's slide in a little Instagram Live" because we feel like we haven't done it in a while, and since our album is out. It's the second week that our album is out. _2001._ We got so much amazing feedback from all of you. We really did. And it just feels so good. It's crazy. For me, the time when the album drops just seems so surreal sometimes because you worked on it for so long and you feel like you're still holding onto the secret, but then you realize everything's out. The songs are out, they're on Instagram, everyone can play them and post them and talk about them. T: Yeah, and they're listening to the song that you kept in your studio the whole time. It feels surreal when they're like, "Oh, I love _Back to the Ocean,_ I love _Runaway."_ B: Yeah! T: It's all the songs that, yeah, were in the studio for so long. And I only read good feedback, I really have to say. I didn't see much hate. B: You know what's so good? I feel like it's so good that it's such a long album because our last album only had 10 songs and this album has so many songs on it. We released so many upfront, but also I feel like it was so good to really have an album that's long and feels like a long… like a long player. It really does feel like an old-school album. It's just so many songs to choose and pick from, and I think the feedback is so good because everyone can find their own little soundtrack, you know what I mean? G: Yes. B: Everyone has their own niche. Even- I was surprised people love _Another Lover_ so much. I was like, "Oh my God." T: I'm reading that too, yeah. B: You know, and I'm like, "This is such a crazy song" and we were so hesitant to put this even out because I was like, "Maybe the people don't get it," and it's such a… it's just so different. The vibe is nothing like we've done before. Or even _Hungover You._ But then again, I feel like a lot of people love the same songs that I love the most. One of them is _Runaway._ T: For me the coolest is always- what Georg and I did, we were at NRJ *[editor's note: A German radio station]* and we met a couple of fans and surprised them and we were listening to a couple of songs with them. And that's always my favorite thing to do. B: To listen with the fans. I know, I love that too. That's so fun. I wish I would have been there. T: Yeah. G: Yeah, to see their reactions. Also the listening sessions we did, what, four years ago? T: I know, I like that too. I like that too. B: Somebody was asking in the comments, are we gonna release a vinyl? We would love to do it, so what we thought about is that maybe we're gonna re-release the album with maybe a few new songs next year and then have a vinyl. With a vinyl, you need a lot of time and you need to deliver the masters so much more in advance to get a slot because it's so hard to get. Maybe it's something for the summer, you know? G: Yeah, sounds good. B: And since we're going on tour- T: What's the lead time for vinyl? Six months? G: I mean, yeah. It's crazy. I think we would have had to order a couple weeks ago if we wanted them on tour. T: OK. B: "Where is Gustav?" That's a good question. Did somebody text him? G: I mean, he is in all the chats. T: He knows it's happening, he just doesn't care, is the thing. B: He just doesn't give a f--k. I'm gonna text him. G: Text him! So, if you guys have any questions, just drop a comment and we're gonna answer some of the questions. "Are you gonna lengthen the tour?" We are working on it. We are working on a couple of festivals for next summer and we are also trying to come to different continents. We are working on that, yes. B: We ARE working on that, and then also we are playing a few festivals I think next summer. We are working on that as well. Guys, I'm telling you, the next year is gonna be bananas. I don't think we ever finished a year- G: I mean, I hope for you. B: Yeah, I feel like we did- yeah, I hope for a lot of bananas. *_*Georg laughs*_* B: I think we never finished a year with a schedule that is so packed for next year. I feel like with the band, with touring- T: And so many exciting fun fun fun fun projects. B: Fun projects. Hopefully there's gonna be so much for you guys to enjoy and things that everyone's just gonna fall in love with, and projects that we worked on secretly for so long that we are finally allowed to reveal and talk about. I think the next year's just gonna be so packed with music and Tokio Hotel and _Kaulitz Hills_ and so much that we have planned. Somebody's asking if I'm working on my skincare. Yes, I do. I do that together with Georg as well. And my fragrance is gonna drop next year. T: Yeah, when is it dropping, actually? I haven't heard much about it. G: I need to give you guys an update. B: Oh. G: It's a good update. It's good. But, yeah, it's coming next year. B: It's coming next year, guys, OK. G: 100%. T: Someone's asking if our truck is back. B: Our truck is not back and I feel like if you guys want to help us, you can look for- Tom, you should post the guitars. T: I know, I'm still waiting for a list from Georg, so. B: For sure everyone's gonna see my microphones. If you find a bedazzled microphone with like rhinestones- T: No one's gonna sell the microphones, I don't think. B: You don't think? T: But if you find a vintage Gold Top from the '60s, that's probably mine. And if you find a White Falcon Limited Players Edition, that's probably mine too. B: So, guys, if you want to keep an eye out for our instruments, you all know what we play, you all know what we use, and if you see that anywhere, if you have any tips for us, we would appreciate that so much because our stuff is still gone. G: The truck was last seen crossing the border to Poland, so maybe also somebody sees the truck. B: Oh my God, why is my dog on the roof? Give me one second. G: Yeah, get your dog. T: "Is there a Tokio Hotel Museum?" No, we only had a Tokio Hotel Museum for the release party. There's no permanent one. There should be a permanent one, I agree. G: Someday we have to do it. I mean, like a pop-up museum and tour with it or take the museum on tour and have a little thing to experience before the shows- B: It's so crazy because my dog always goes on my roof, he's always on the roof, and then sometimes he sees another dog on the street and he gets so excited that sometimes I'm scared he's gonna fall off my roof, you know? G: Mmhm. B: But he just loves doing it so it's hard for me to say no.

TRANSCRIPT, PART 2 T: Someone says hi from Mauritius. That's a nice place to be. Actually, I kind of miss that too. In that season, we always went to the Maldives or something. B: Oh, Deichkind is watching, hi! *[editor's note: A German band - thank you to Mara from Discord for decoding this!]* G and T: Hey! B: We should plan a nice band vacation. Actually, Deichkind, they did that. They went all together to L.A. T: I was wondering if you're saying we should plan a band vacation with Deichkind because if we would do that, I think we would just be ending up partying all day. B: Just getting drunk. T: Just getting fucked up and- B: No, but what I love is that they come together and they go somewhere to work on their music, which is nice- I mean, I guess we do the same thing in Berlin, but I feel like we should do a nice trip, all four of us. I mean, I'm scared that we would not make much music, we would just… T: That's the problem. G: I mean… T: But if we don't have the pressure of- no, you guys, you know what, you guys should come to my house. B: Yeah. T: All stay. Come to L.A.! I think in L.A., let's just hang out. I don't think we need to go someplace else. Just come to L.A. and we just hang out and we make some music. G: At your house we are for sure not working. B: Tom, can you send a live invite thing, can you send it out, or no? Can you send one to Gustav? Maybe he's online. G: If he's online, he would have gotten a push notification because he's following Tokio Hotel. T: I sent it to him now. I just sent it to him. B: OK. I don't know if he actually is online because everyone is asking. So, anyhow, we're not fighting or anything, Gustav is just a little behind, you know? Just a little slow. T: Or we could all go- someone's suggesting we should go to Magdeburg. That would be fun, too. Imagine we would all go to Magdeburg for a couple of months and just produce new records there. G: And go back to the first studio we've ever built? B: Georg, how is our show in Magdeburg coming together? G: Magdeburg has no good enough venue for you because your rider is so big and the venue has so much stuff to fulfill, so there's no venue which can do it. T: When is the Stadthalle ready? G: The Stadthalle is ready 2024, I guess. T: Oh. B: Oh. G: So we have to postpone the Magdeburg show one year, but maybe we play a festival in Magdeburg. There are a couple of festivals in Magdeburg. T: Yeah, I would do that too. B: Everyone is saying that Gustav is sick. Oh. Maybe Gustav is sick, but I didn't know. *_*Bill laughs*_* T: I didn't know. Is he sick? B: I don't know. I heard that his family was sick and I guess now he is too. G: Hmm. T: Yeah, Magdeburg, hmm. Are there any good festivals in Magdeburg, really? G: I don't know about good festivals, but I know there are festivals. There's this radio thing, you remember? I think the Stars for Free thing? T: Stars for Free, yeah. G: I'm not sure if it's still in Magdeburg, though, but they have a couple of festivals on the Buga. T: Mmhm. Oh, that'd be nice. B: Somebody's asking why we aren't speaking German. *_*Bill explains in German that people from many countries are watching the Live so they're speaking English so everyone can understand*_* T: Magdeburg City! B, reading a comment: "Bill, you have wonderful ears." Thank you. *_*Georg reads a question in German*_* G: Oh, right, do you remember we got this request from this super-small indie festival in Magdeburg once. B: Yep. G: That's years ago, right? B: Yeah. Tom and I have the same hair, can you believe it? Tom's hair is so short and mine is the same length now. G: It got shorter. B: Yeah, Tom's is really short. Tom is going through a phase. You know when a lot of girls change their hair and they make them really short? I think the next thing is when Tom is just gonna shave them off. Like a whole new image. T: No, it's like, new hair and you have a completely new feeling in life. It's just life-changing. *_*Bill reads a comment in German and then translates it to English*_* B: Tom, I know, yeah, we have the same hair, I still look a lot better than you. T: I mean, you have bigger lips because there's a lot of Botox in it. *_*They all laugh and then have a brief exchange in German*_* T, reading a comment: "When is the new collection from MDLA coming out?" B: Yeah, so, guys, I decided to postpone that for a year because we just had so much going on and I felt like I didn't want to rush it, but everything is ready and we're gonna postpone it one year exactly. So next Christmas, the new MDLA is coming out. I rebranded everything and the clothes are looking so sick and different. I'm moving on from streetwear and it's just gonna be very very different from what I used to do. It's no more sweats and T-shirts. G: And there will be a final sale for those streetwear styles at the end of the year or early next year where it's the last chance to get the streetwear styles. B: "Bill, do you love to swim?" I'm actually a little scared of water. G: I'm the worst. I think I never told that. I'm the worst in swimming. I can do it, I'm not- what's the…? "Drowning"? B: Yeah. G: But I don't move at all. It's like, I try all I can but I don't move. B: Are you serious? I didn't know that about you. T: You're not a good swimmer? No, I didn't know that either. G: I'm the worst. Really. I really try my- all I can do, but I don't move- B: You're not a good swimmer? I had no idea. If somebody would ask me, I would be like, "No, Georg is a good swimmer" because you look like a good swimmer, you know? G: Thank you. B: I would never think that you're not a good swimmer. G: I mean, I can swim, but I can't swim fast. B: I don't like to swim either. It's just not my favorite thing to do. And the ocean is- waves are scary to me. I'm scared of waves. T: You're scared of fish, too, is the problem. B: I'm scared of fish. I'm scared of birds. I'm scared of a lot of things in the world. *_*Georg laughs*_* T: I'm a pretty good swimmer. I can dive pretty good. B: No. Diving I would never do. I would never even try. Snorkeling- snorkeling is fine, but diving- T: No, no, no, I'm not saying diving with the tank on your back, but diving in terms of holding your breath and swimming underwater. B: Also, I always keep my eyes closed, because when I open them, they are just tearing up. I can't do it. I can't open my eyes really. G: I am the only one with the diver license, right? T: Probably. I've never tried it. B: You are a good swimmer, then. G: You don't need to be a good swimmer to dive. You press a button and then you go down, then you press another button and you come back up. T: That's what I wanted to say. You just have to be dumb enough to rely on the stuff on your back and then go down there and risk your life. B: Would you still do it, Georg? Because I feel like you've done that such a long time ago. Would you still be comfortable diving? G: Yes, 1000%, yeah. T: Really? B: I would never. You couldn't even pay me money to do it. I would never. T: I would be scared to do that. G: It's the fucking best experience. B: I would never do it. If I would go down and then there's a gigantic fish swimming toward me, I would get such a panic attack. And just the pressure on your ears and then this tank, I couldn't do it. I would be so claustrophobic, I could never do it in a million years. T: Talking about diving, I can tell you that one of my favorite songs on the new album is _Back to the Ocean._ B: Yeah. G: See? B: Mine too, I love it. So, when I'm in the car and I'm driving to Tom's house or I'm driving around L.A., the songs I play the most from the album-I'm only listening to the album right now because it's so fun to listen to the whole thing and have it on your phone -I was listening the most to _Back to the Ocean_ and _Runaway._ Like, I have that in a loop. T: Same, and _Just A Moment. Back to the Ocean, Runaway,_ these are the three songs-and _Hungover You._ These are the songs that I'm listening the most from the record. And you, Georg? G: I'm listening to the complete record, of course, but I still can't wait to play _HIM_ live and it's still my favorite track. T: But even on the record, yeah? G: I mean… T: I mean, yeah, I love _HIM,_ don't get me wrong, but, like- G: I also like _Dreamer._ Every song has a little something to love. That's what I love about the album. T: The thing too is Georg is always riding an electric scooter, so he's never in the car. He can't listen to the album. He only has earbuds and can listen to it on headphones.

TRANSCRIPT, PART 3 B: Do you guys hear the noise in the background? There's so much noise because they're still renovating our studio. G: No. T: No. B: No? T: I miss the studio a lot. B: I miss the studio too. You should actually come by and look at it because it's coming together. *_*Bill makes a face*_* G: It's about time. T: I don't like the face. B: Yeah, there's some things I'm not so sure about anymore. G: Oh, wow. Like basic stuff? Like colors and wood? B: I mean, honestly, yesterday Tom and I were like, "Well, we want this window to be bigger" so now they're taking it out, they're ordering a new window, they're changing the whole thing again, so- G: And then you ask yourself why it takes so long. B: He messed it up. In the plans, there was a bigger window. T: I wanted to say, it wasn't like the- B: It wasn't our decision. Our contractor messed it up, to be honest. I can't talk too loud. G: He's around? B: But yeah, he messed it up. He put in the wrong window. G: Hmm, OK. I get it. B: Now he has to reorder it, he has to reframe it, he has to- G: Such a nightmare. B: It is such a nightmare. But construction never goes to plan. G: Especially in a studio. If the window's bigger then you have more glass and you have to do a whole new sound concept then, right? B: Also he ordered the wrong door, and the door didn't have a window. T: Let's not get into it. I don't want to get in a bad mood. *_*Georg and Tom laugh*_* T: I ordered so much new equipment, so many new instruments. I can't wait to get back in the studio. I spent so much money on new instruments. Bill, you have no idea. I'm still downloading a lot of stuff right now. G: That's great. B: You're doing what? T: Huh? B: You're doing what? T: I'm downloading really big libraries right now. As we speak. I'm doing it right now. Because we have a really big interesting project coming up with Tokio Hotel where I need a lot of new stuff. B: That's true. That's true, honey. T: And it's specialized packages, Bill, just for that. B: Wow. T: So I have very big new libraries. It's downloading for three full days already. G: Oh, wow. B: I am so excited about all these things coming up. It's just gonna be so cool. Yeah, I'm very excited about this. Georg, what are you doing? You're going on vacation, right? For New Year's? G: Yeah, I'm going to Capetown. B: When are you leaving? G: After Christmas. I spend Christmas with my parents and then we leave Buddy there and we go to South Africa. B: Same. Tom and I are going on a little ski trip. We're skiing for the first time. G: I'm so jelly. We should all go ski together. B: I mean, I want to try it first, see how good I am. But I'm very excited. G: Do you guys come early next year to Europe? No, right? T: Who knows? Maybe. G: If you go, you should extend a week and then we all go to Austria or Switzerland and do some skiing. T: Skiing, yeah. I hope we learn it this winter. Someone's asking how many guitars I have. Probably not as many anymore. We probably have to count again because we just- G: Oh, you have still a bunch. T: We just got, um… someone was stealing our truck and I lost a bunch of guitars. My favorite ones, at least. B: So do you know which ones you had on the truck? T: Yeah. Was my Fender guitar on the truck, too? G: No. T: No? Then I have… I probably have a couple guitars left, then. G: You have a couple of customs in black and white, and then you have… T: Flying V Fender, a couple of acoustic guitars… G: Yeah, you have three acoustics, then this other acoustic guitar as well, the small one. B: Somebody's asking- T: So, yeah, I have a bunch of guitars left. B: Somebody was asking, "Where's Gustav?" Gustav is sick, apparently. We just heard about that. We didn't know. So apparently he's sick at home. I just want to say again, guys, we are so grateful that you all love the album so much and for all the feedback we've gotten. Honestly, we couldn't be happier with how you love the songs and how much feedback we get and how amazing this feels. And, yeah, this is really close to our hearts, as you know. Putting out an album, even after, what, 17 years now? It's still as exciting and nerve-wracking and, yeah, we are really happy. And it couldn't be nicer to end the year on this note and with so much love and all the music. And we're very excited for next year to play the songs live and to come on tour again because we haven't been touring in so long. This is gonna be such an exciting tour. And if you still want to grab a ticket, check out Tokio Hotel dot com. I know that Berlin is sold out- T: Is Hamburg sold out? No, we moved to a new venue. G: We moved to a bigger venue but this one is selling so fast. Hamburg's gonna be sold out in the next two or three weeks for sure. B: If you want to get a ticket-or, this is actually such a nice Christmas gift as well, if you want to get a cool Christmas gift, get a Tokio Hotel ticket and just check out in what cities we're gonna play. We're gonna play all over Europe. A lot of cities are sold out or close to being sold out, so- T: We have a bunch of VIP tickets left, I think. B: Yeah, not all the tickets, I think there's also cities that are sold out, so just check out the website and you will find… T: You will find the dates. G: By the way, do you guys already have any Christmas presents? B: I do. I have ALL my Christmas presents. T: I haven't started, but I'm gonna start next week. G: So you used Black Friday for all your friends? B: Yeah, so you can listen to the podcast because Tom and I discussed Black Friday- G: I know. B: Because I thought that Black Friday would be such a steal, but the stores I go to, they don't really have Black Friday. *_*Bill laughs and Georg shakes his head*_* T: So Bill went out on the weekend after Black Friday hoping he could make some good deals, but he didn't. And he bought a lot of stuff, but- B: I bought so much stuff. You have no idea. Actually, right next to me, there is all the boxes with all the stuff that I got, and I have everything. For my mom, for the kids, for everybody. G: Wow. B: Yeah. Which is nice. It's not even December and I have all my gifts together. I've never been that fast. T: Yeah, that's a good feeling. G: That's the best feeling. I'm already- I'm writing down things to not forget what I want to get. B: You know, it's easy, I just go to one store and I just buy a lot of diamonds and then I put them in little boxes. T: I can't wait for mine. Put my diamond on the bed to my yacht that you're gonna buy me. B: Yeah, your diamond is extra teeny tiny, Tom. T: Tiny is fine. As long as the boat is nice and big, it's fine. *_*Bill and Georg laugh*_* B: All right, guys, I've got to run because Stitch is getting a bath. He's gonna get groomed, so I'm gonna have to drop him off. He has an appointment. T: Oh, you could have let me know because Capper needed grooming too! B: You're never at my house anymore, Tom. You need to come over. Everything's happening here. T: But you could have let me know that, I could have dropped him off! Ugh. OK. G: Bill, go and pick Capper up. B: I mean, if you're fast, you can come over and maybe she'll take him. She's gonna come with her car, so. T: OK.
