I think Tokio Hotel's ability to change their style and music is what makes them unique. Everyone who's saying "oh they're so mainstream now" and "they're not different or unique anymore" isn't looking through the right lens. Most artists choose a genre and never truly venture out. Tokio Hotel has gone from an alternative kind of music to more electronic and futuristic style to now a more upbeat and pop sounding style. While you may prefer a previous style of music, the fact that they changed should not influence your so-called "love" of them as people and as a band. If you're a true fan, you'd support them no matter what they choose to do with their music. Accept the fact that they have evolved and move on - no one wants to hear your constant bitching anymore.

Well said. They are dynamic and I think that's a good quality. The mentality some have about this though is the same that metal heads tend to have about their favorite bands changing genres or even subgenres. To me, a band deserves major kudos when they're changing things up because artistically that's where they wanted to go. I like so many different kinds of music and artists/musicians, and if I were one myself, I'd never be able to confine myself to just one style or genre.

As a long-time fan, Tokio Hotel was a huge part of my life and I'd even go as far as to say one of the things that kept me going through depression and an eating disorder, and while I was originally not a big fan of the new album, I've grown to love it, and I feel like their sound has evolved in a way that still resonates with me now that I've grown up, truthfully, I don't think I would be as captivated by an album with the old sound. It was what I needed at the time, but I've outgrown that, and I think they have too.

FOR EVERYONE ASKING WHERE IS GEORG AND GUSTAV ? : Obviously Georg and Gustav aren't going to be there performing with them because they are in Germany and the twins are in California. There are probably going to be lots of acoustic performances because the Voice and Guitar are together. If all of the band are going to do performances in the future then obviously the twins will either be in Germany with the G's or vice versa. Not really that complicated.

Ok. So I've been reading a lot of the comments and there's a lot of animosity between who likes it and who doesn't. Well. First off, to the people who think that his voice had changed and that his new music isn't good or its it's a disappointment, listen. He was young when scream was done, and he's grown up a bit, and along with that his voice will have naturally changed. Same thing with his music, sure, I miss the good old days with it too, but come on, at least he's actually making music rather than fading away. The fact he cares enough to do this is amazing. And yeah, you aren't gonna like all music an artist puts out, but you can always hope he'll make something else that you enjoy. Secondly, about the two members missing in this, they could be with family or just not at that certain performance. Because as we know, if you've seen the music video, they're in it. There are always things that could potentially pop up and cause certain people to not be able to perform, it happens more often then most think. And lastly, whether you like it or not, that's your own personal opinion, therefore by me saying this I am not trying to criticize any of you or judge any of you because that would be rude of me to do, however in regards to me saying this and this is my personal opinion and saying, I don't see it that I do should receive negative feedback from what I've said, seeing as I never said anything negative towards anybody. Tokio Hotel might continue to make music, whether it's good or not that's based on your own personal opinion, but my opinion remains that their music is still great and if anything better than the shit they put on the radio nowadays. I don't care how many times they change their style if you like the band and understand them as individuals no sound change will be able to make you want to not follow them anymore. Of course that's just my opinion. Been a fan since I was in high school and I'm now 25 and I'm still loving them even if they switched up the style. That's kinda what happens sometimes when you mature you may change your view. Will always love the old sound but will also have an open mind about the new sound too. I hope they stay around for many more years to come. I'll always be a fan ❤️

We neither have 2005 / 2006 / 2007 / 2008 / 2009 / 2010 ... We have 2014. People change, the style changes, the interests change, simply everything. None of the guys is stuck in the past, a small amout of people who are fans of them also didn't stuck there and also developed and changed and a big part is stuck in the past. The past is history and it will never come back. It's time to move on and finally arrive in the presence and look into the future ... To stuck in the past won't get anywhere. Amd in case of the G's ... to fly back and forth is very exhausting, a non-stop flight from Germany to LA in one direction takes about 13 1/2 hours, not to forget the time difference of 9 hours ...

For the people wanting to get angry at Georg and Gustav for not promoting the album..... I mean have you guys listened to it? Whatever your opinion is on the album, it is pretty clear for most of the songs that the G's were not very involved in the production of the album. Almost all of the drums and bass parts are electronic. And who knows if that is the twins faults or the G's? It could be either (although my personal opinion puts the blame on the twins for going for an electronic sound that doesn't use real bass or drums), but either way! Why should the G's promote something that is hardly even their product? The album is either something they don't like enough to promote or didn't have enough to do with it to promote. Honestly, I still think KoS should have been a side project for the twins, and not a Tokio Hotel album..
