There's actually a lot of symbolism in this ,it's not rude to me. The fans singing in German are the reminder of their past and youth. Their beginnings but they are singing along with Bill who is now older and who is singing in English (present). The Fans are still with them even through the change that the band wants to go with but the band will always have to acknowledge their past. It's bittersweet. It's kind of like young bill singing with an older bill.

There's such a depth of passion when TH songs are sung in German that is completely lost when sung in English.

Yeah, it’s like two completely different songs. But I will always be remembering the German versions only, the English ones (when they made two in both languages) just didn’t stick with me. I don’t “feel them” really. The German ones have some kind of energy that can’t be transferred into English.

I hate the English versions of their songs. They started in German and became famous. I don't get why they startet to translate their songs to English (perhaps it was the idea of their producers to make them more famous internationally)... It sounds much better in German in my opinion!

I've seen live videos of this tour in different countries and every time the audience sings the songs in German, I can't comprehend why they don't realise by then "they like German versions better, let's sing German the rest of the night". I just don't get it, the music is the same and German is much easier for Bill as well

Can't agree more. Because the translations of the old songs into German are somehow a little weird. I also feel like there's less emotion to them. Bill also has one big problem... his English isn't the best at all. So, if the fans obviously want German, totally not understandable why TH don't give them want they want.

Im an American who only just started learning German when I was 16 (3 years ago), and I find it interesting how when i hear both versions, I automatically go into thinking of the German lyrics. I personally haven’t been a fan of English TH songs (even before i started learning German) because I feel like a lot of the emotion and meaning is stripped and lost in translation (a prime example of this is with Träumer and Love and Death). I miss the days where they made music in German, and I get that they grow up and change, but they seem to want to be Americanized and it saddens me, because theyre losing their roots.
