TRANSCRIPT, PART 1 Bill: Daði! Daði: Hello! Georg: Hello! B: Hello, what's going on? G: Oh, that was super easy. D: How are you? G: How are you? D: I am amazing. B: Are you in Berlin right now? D: Yep. For the next- B: Tom and I are coming, too. Tom and I are heading over to Berlin, when? On Saturday, I think. We're coming over to celebrate our podcast turning one year. Well, actually, I'm so glad we're on the same, you know, I mean, we're like on TikTok, but, like, on the same call. We've never met in person. We have to hang out. D: So this is what you're like. Are you hearing me? G: Sorry. Yeah, we are hearing you, but, I- Bill, I didn't hear you. D: It's my first time going live on TikTok, so I have no idea. G: We either. B: I sound so weird. Like, sometimes I hear it and then it takes a minute and then it comes back a little after. Same for you, Georg? G: Yeah, same for me too. B: Is it a speaker or something? I hear myself talking. G: I think it's because Tom is shooting so many texts that he's not coming into the chat right now. B: But why? G: I have no idea. B: Well, anyway, Daði, I'm so excited, we're so excited for this song. D: Me too! B: I think the people are loving it. So far, so good. Did you get some feedback from people? Well, actually, it's only a snippet, so they can't hear the whole song, but- D: Yeah, it's a great snippet, though. B: Yeah, what we've heard so far is amazing. ALSO, I feel like we can spoil a little something. We can't tell you guys where, but I heard that we're gonna have a live performance- *_*Tom appears*_* Tom: YO YO YO! I made it happen! D: Hello! T: Hey, guys! B: Hi, Tom. I was just telling everyone that we can't tell the people exactly when and where, but we can already say that we're gonna have a live performance with Daði together on a TV show. I'm so excited. That's gonna happen in November, but I can't give away what show it is and what exact date, but I'm super excited that we can play the song live. You're gonna be on tour, also, right? Are you already on tour or are you going on tour? D: I'm going in… eight hours, I have the flight. *_*Bill, Georg, and Tom all exclaim*_* B: Where do you start? Like, what city do you start playing? D: I start in Philadelphia and then I'm ending up in LA on the 13th of October, so if you're there, then- B: Amazing. T: I think we are. We're gonna go to Germany and- Bill and I, we have a podcast, and we're having a little party in Berlin, and then we're gonna be back in LA. I think we're here when you play. I would love to come out. G: I'm jelly, I want to see the show too. Is there any Europe date? D: No, I'm afraid not. B: And how long are you on tour, until October 13th? So October 13th is the last show in LA? D: Yeah. B: Amazing. We are a little bit jealous of everyone that gets to go on tour because we haven't been playing live in, what, three years, almost? It's crazy. Because we had to push our tour three times and now, finally, it's happening next year in April. We can't wait to be back onstage but we kinda held back all the live energy and all the excitement for so long that I feel like this show is just gonna be a big explosion of, I don't know, songs and fun and costumes and lights and [it's] just gonna get a little nuts. D: Yeah, after this wait, it's so nice to go onstage again after a while. T: Yeah, I can't wait for that, actually. Guys, the last time we played was in Latin America. G: March 2020. T: And then we only had a couple of TV performances. Actually, when we have our TV performance; we have to find the time to rehearse the song, I guess. B: Is it true that we only have one day? I feel like I saw the schedule and we only have one day to- G: I mean, we're still discussing that, but that's basically the ideal timing if you don't want to waste time. *_B, singing:_* Exciiiiiting! I'm so excited! I'm so happy we can be together and perform the song together, because it's tough sometimes-especially when you do features with other artists, they are all over the world and it's hard to get together, so I'm glad this is gonna work out. *_*Sunglasses (a virtual TikTok gift) appear on Georg*_* B: Why am I not getting sunglasses like this?! D: Yeah, I need to be in the same room as you guys very soon. T: For sure. *_*Anton starts barking in the background*_* B: Should we answer some questions that people are asking and saying? "Where is Gustav?" So, Gustav can't join because it's only up to four people. He actually just texted us like "Oh, can I come?" and we're like "No, you're not invited." G: Yeah, it's a private party. D: There's a lot of people that are very angry at me right now. *_*Tom, Bill, and Georg laugh*_* G: Not at all! B: I'm just reading a few comments here, guys. G: Daði, how is your German? Do you speak any German, or no? D: My German- _mein Deutsch ist Scheiße._ G: Tom loves people with not-perfect German because he likes to teach German. T: That's true, but I don't know if I'm allowed to do it on TikTok. Probably not. G: No. No, no. The only platform you're allowed is… I don't even know if I'm allowed to say the platform. B: No, you're gonna get banned on here, Georg. T: We're gonna teach you some German when we do the rehearsals for the TV show. D: But I know almost all the lyrics to _Monsun,_ so there's that. *[Editor's note: **kzbin.info/www/bejne/aHi1aX57ltJ9qtE** ]* B: I KNOW! You play _Monsun,_ I've seen it! I've seen it and I love it so much! It's so fun. D: That's the encore for all the German headline shows. T: German dates. Amazing. B: I loved it. So cool. I can't wait to go back on tour. I'm reading the comments. Hi, Holland. Tokio Hotel TV, actually, yes, so, we just talked about it. So, Tom and I are gonna fly over to Germany and we're doing a bunch of promotion and stuff. And then also _Kaulitz Hills,_ our podcast, is turning one year, so we're celebrating it, and then I'm on the judging panel for the Echo Awards in Hamburg, and that's all gonna be filmed. So, yes, Tokio Hotel TV is coming back. And also, we're all heading over to the factory that's producing the fan boxes and we're all gonna go there and sign all the fan boxes for you guys, which is gonna take us a whole day, it's crazy. So, thank you so much for everyone that ordered the box. It's unbelievable. I think you guys ordered a little too much! We're actually there the entire day and we have to sign all the boxes. I hope we're gonna get it done. G: I have no idea if we can make it in only one day. It's so many. B: I don't think there's many left, so if you guys want to get your hands on a fan box then you have to be super quick. T: Someone's asking "Will there be a music video for _Happy People?"_ B: I think we should shoot a video, Daði. I think we should. D: I would love to shoot a video for this. I'm so excited. B: I know. So, we just have to figure out… I think we're working on it and our teams are trying everything, but I think we should definitely do it. There are some great ideas. I would love to shoot a music video. T: Same. Yeah, I think we should. D: I've got a few ideas. I won't say it now. G: Somebody's asking, "What about a Daði and Tokio Hotel show in Reykjavik?" I would love to do that. D: I'm down. I haven't been in Iceland for like, two years, but if you're going, I'm going. B: Did you put out a new album recently, or are you gonna put out a new album, are you working on new music, what's going on? D: Yeah, I'm working on the first full-length album under my name. That's gonna be out hopefully next summer, but I was gonna release it half a year ago already, so I'm late. T: Same with us, we're always late. D: I said, "OK, I just need a year, then I'll finish this up." A year has passed and I'm not even halfway through. T: Yeah, yeah, yeah. I know. Good things take time. B: We had an entire record ready and we were like, "OK, it's ready to go out" and then all of a sudden, we were back in the studio and we wrote so many songs, and then we were like, "No, it's such a good run, we feel like we can't just release this album." But then it took us another, what? A year and a half, or almost two years. It's been five years since we put out our last album. It's a little embarrassing. G: It is. D: I'm so excited to hear it.

TRANSCRIPT, PART 2 B: Yeah, Tom and I just finished everything up and we sent everything to master, and we couldn't be more happy. Now it's finally done, it's 16 songs. The last two weeks of doing it and finishing it up in the studio was crazy. For me, when there's a lot of pressure and you have a deadline, that's when I'm most creative and I feel like that's when I write the best things. I don't know, it's some kind of energy that really gets the best of me. T: For production, if you don't have a deadline, you just- you know, a song, for me, is never finished. I hear it again and I'm changing things around nonstop because I'm so detailed with the production. Are you doing your own production most of the time, or? D: Yeah. T: Yeah. Most of the songs on the record, we- _I_ produced and- *_*Anton enters the chat*_* T: My dog. It's a never-ending story if you don't have a deadline, you just keep working on the track and keep working, keep working, and you never put them out. B: So, someone was just asking how many songs of our new record _2001_ are we gonna play on tour? So, actually, like I just said, we already had a set list, we had everything ready, we were ready to go on tour, and then we had to- because of COVID, and then we had to push it again. So I think it's just gonna be a wild explosion of songs. I think there's gonna be a lot of new songs but there's also gonna be the Tokio Hotel classics. And, I mean, we have six albums out, so we have a lot of records we can pick and choose from. But I think it's just gonna be- I want to create a show for the old-school fans but also for the people that just discovered Tokio Hotel. I think a good show should have it all, so, yeah. We'll make it work. *_G, holding up a tiny microphone:_* And I already got your new mic, Bill. See? B: Thank you so much. G: Specially arrived for the tour next year. T: That's very handy for the tour, I wanted to say. You don't even need a big case. B: It's just important that you guys carry it because you all know I can't lift that much, so… G: I'm gonna carry that one for you. No problem at all. B: Thank you. Somebody's asking, "American tour?" Um, as of now, we're only touring Europe, but I think we're gonna add to it. It's only the first leg of the show and then we're gonna add a few shows, so this is only the beginning. But so far there's no American tour. D: You have to do at least LA, though, right? T: Yeah, we have to. B: We would love to. LA was one of the last shows we played, honestly, before the whole COVID thing started. G: Yeah. B: We played LA and then we played Mexico. We played… Guadalajara? G: Yes. B: Did I say it right? And then that was it, right? G: Yes, then we had to stop, yeah. B: I'm reading comments. If you guys want to throw in a question, throw it in. G: Throw it in. B: "Latin American tour?" Same thing. I think it's gonna take us a while until we can head over and start touring there again. It's not easy to put it together for Latin America and it took us so long, so many years until we had it together, and then unfortunately COVID happened. But, I mean, I want to tour in Latin America again. Did you, Daði, ever play in Latin America? D: No, I would love to, though. B: It's one of my favorites, to be honest. T: Yeah, touring there is a lot of fun. D: I've never been there. I've only been once to the U.S., too. That was my last tour. G: Yeah, maybe we can go together. T: With countries, it's exhausting, too, because you have to fly. I love to take the tour bus, you know? And just sleep there, wake up, next city, boom. But in the big countries, you have to fly a lot. That makes it a little stressful if you have back-to-back shows. D: Yeah, we're doing that on this tour. In the end, we couldn't get a tour bus because they're all sold out. Everybody has been postponing their shows, so they're all consolidating into the same time, so we're gonna be on two vans. T: Wow. B: Ooh, that's rough. D: Yep. B: That's rough. Especially as a singer. You've got to stay healthy and you need your sleep to rest your voice. Have you ever had vocal problems on tour? D: Nothing major, just couldn't reach the highest notes at the end of the set or something like that, but it's been fine so far. B: Oh, thank God. Yeah, that's good. D: That also means I don't take too much care, and I probably should take more care, because what happens if I…? I don't want it to go. T: The good thing in our band is that if Bill ever has problems, I can just jump in and do an even better job, you know? At singing. B: I WISH. I wish. They don't even sing backing vocals, it's so sad. And Tom could because he's my identical twin. But he's just too shy. He's a shy butterfly. T: If the audience would hear me sing, they would never want you back, and that's why I don't do it. G: You have to wear his costumes, though, Tom. T: Bill's costumes? Of course. And I would probably have to make them a little smaller. G: You're such an… oh, Jesus. D: Your Wikipedia page says that you all sing, so that's lying? B: Oh, it really does? We have to change that. G: Whatever we change there, somebody's resetting it, because we don't own the right to it and everything is… it's full of lies in there. B: On one tour, I remember they all had headsets and they were just screaming. It wasn't even singing, and I don't think they were even on. I think the idea in the beginning was like, "Oh, maybe the guys can do it and we'll just mix it in and it's gonna be a little blend" but it was so horrible that our front-of-house decided- T: I actually think, Georg, if we would sing again, I would actually do it on the next tour. G: Let's try it. I'm down. B: I mean, guys, remember you had a little bit of vocal coaching and vocal training. Remember that? That was fun. T: I do. I liked it. I think we should do it again. G: Yeah, let's do it. I mean, we play five instruments at the same time, so we could sing along as well. B: I think you could even have a little solo while I change my outfit. G: Not sure about that, though. T: Bill, why don't you learn one song on the guitar for the next tour? That would be fun, too. B: I would love that. Yeah, yeah, I would love that. I want to play a Flying V guitar just because I love the look of it, so I want a super-crazy fur coat and then the Flying V. T: That could be fun, too, for _Happy People._ We could play that lick together, like… *_*Tom imitates the sound*_* B: Is that an easy riff to play? T: Mm, I mean, for me, yeah, because anything is easy for me, but for you, I don't know.

TRANSCRIPT, PART 3 B: Daði, do you play a lot of instruments? D: I play guitar. B: But no other instruments? D: Um, drums and bass and keyboard. G: So, all of them. B: All of it. *_*Bill and Georg laugh*_* D: Nothing that I… no flutes or trumpets. B: I've always been too lazy. I don't have the patience, to be honest. Somebody was asking about my new tattoo, I saw in the comments, so it's right here. *_*Bill holds up his arm*_* B: Can you read it, Georg, or no? G: No, I can't read it. B: It says _ALLES GUT._ G: _Alles gut?_ And you made it on your own? B: So, we got drunk and we had a tattoo machine at the house, so my friend… *_*Georg shakes his head*_* B: So my friend tattooed this and we all tattooed each other. But they came out pretty good, I mean, they were fun. I'll bring it to Germany, Georg, so I can tattoo you a _Happy People_ tattoo. G: Yes. Let's do it. B: Maybe just like, a small one right here. Just a little one. G: Like an HP on the forehead? T: HP, yeah. D: Maybe shave off your eyebrows and _Happy_ … _People._ *_*Georg laughs*_* T: Oh, that'd be nice! That's a good idea. B: Actually, that is a good idea, because if you don't like it anymore, you can just grow your eyebrows back and then it's gone. G: Yeah, but my eyebrows are… B: Oh, that's true, yeah, they're not nice enough, no. *_*Georg and Tom laugh*_* T: I can make the tattoo very thin, Georg. We're gonna try it. It's fine. B: Somebody's asking, "Are you guys coming back to France?" Yes, we are. Georg, where are we playing? G: We play in Paris and we play in Lyon. Next year, June, I guess. Oh, Jesus, I want to go back on tour so bad. *_B, reading comments:_* _Grüße aus Kotzen._ What is Kotzen? *[Editor's note: They already had this discussion in the last Live, lol: **kzbin.info/www/bejne/rqmudICVqc-taJo** ]* T: Kotzen is a city in Germany, I don't know where it is, but. B: Hm. T: Yep. B: Somebody's saying _"Happy people make me sad_ is my line forever." I feel like that is such a good tattoo. Maybe I should get one. G: Yeah, it's a great line. T: Guys, I have five more minutes before I have to head to the next- B: Same. G: Is there a soccer game today, or? T: No, I'm actually giving interviews for the band. I know you've never done it, but it's basically a guy who works for a media outlet that asks you questions and you answer. G: Ah. B: OK, let's do two more questions. G: First of all, everybody watching here, have you used the sound and did a TikTok with our song _Happy People?_ B: Yeah, thanks for bringing that up. Guys, you should all use the TikTok sound and make a few nice videos. We have something cool planned. Georg just did one yesterday that he told me about but he's not gonna use it because he doesn't like his nose in it, but- *_*Daði and Georg laugh*_* B: But yeah, you guys, everyone use the _Happy People_ sound. That would make us so happy, and we're gonna repost it on @/tokiohotel, we're gonna repost it on Instagram as well, so keep them coming. There's a few good ones I saw. I loved this one where they had, like, the paint, you know? The glow-in-the-dark paint? I loved this one. T: Isn't there a filter that's perfect, like the crying filter that you can use for the face? B: Yeah. G: Yeah, but the filter's from a different app and then you have to copy it here. T: Oh, really? G: Yeah. T: Wait until you see my TikToks. They're gonna be epic. B: You can also come up with something new, I mean, you know? There are so many things I feel like you can do with this song, so surprise us and tag us in your post so we can see it and repost you guys. G: Yes, please do so. B: Guys, if you see a question, just go for it. *_G, reading comments:_* "Daði is the best!" D: Oh! *_T, reading comments:_* "Play Magdeburg." Yeah, how's that going? Georg, do we have a show in Magdeburg yet? G: Uh, as I told you, I'm gonna work on that in October because my schedule is full. *_T, reading comments:_* "Do you play _League of Legends?"_ What's that? G: That's a super-old computer game. I never played that. B: Somebody's saying, "Which city are you most excited to play?" Well, I always love Italy, I don't think that's a secret. I don't even know what cities I would pick. Only one in Italy? G: Yes, we are only playing _Milano._ T: That's where we kick off the tour, no? G: Um… this has been the old routing. I think the '23 routing is starting in London. T: Oh, OK. Yeah, but I'm always excited for Paris. I love Paris. B: I love Berlin. That's always fun. G: Berlin is fun but also I'm so nervous before that show. T: Yup. B: Daði, are you a party animal? Do you go out a lot and party and drink, or not so much? D: I wouldn't say that I'm a party animal. B: No? I barely drink. *[Editor's note: Hahahaha]* D: I'm also a father of two. G: Oh, you're a father of two? D: I have a three-year-old and a one-year-old. B: Aw, that's cute. D: So I haven't partied so much for three years. G: It's a different kind of a party, huh? I mean, you stay up long, you don't get so much sleep… D: Yeah. B: Well, we always like to drink at parties a little bit, so when we shoot the music video together and when we have our live performance in November, we're gonna have one or two or three or four drinks. D: Oh yeah, I would get five or six. When the kids are not there, yeah. B: We're just gonna party through the night. T: Let's do it. I can't wait. B: Awesome, cool. Thank you so much for hanging with us, Daði. We'll see you in Berlin and we can't wait to perform the song together and shoot the video. We're so excited. And thank you, everyone that's been hanging out. Keep using the sound, make us happy and create some nice TikToks. We're gonna be back soon, and thanks for all the love so far for _Happy People._ G: Yeah, thanks for hanging. B: Bye, guys. G: Bye!
