But it's not like there's necessarily some huge gap between cover songs and originals in terms of difficulty. One might argue singing your own song is easier. Even putting that aside, I'm pretty sure Towa expressed her like for singing since her debut stream.

Dont know if you can get more anime than this: rough start, almost everyone in the same generation gets ahead in subscribers, does a few mistakes that alienates some of her fans and they get replaced by people speaking some weird language she barely understands. Now we are on the redemption arc with a growing fanbase and Towa getting better at singing, playing video games and learning English. This is better than any movie imo.

As an English speaker I sometimes find myself conflicted about this. I mean imagine you want to be a vtuber in Japan only to get filled by English comments and jokes you barely understand only a few months after starting and still searching for your place in the group. Early in her time in hololive she had it rough. A couple scandals and struggling viewership, just to be brought up by people who didnt even speak the same language. (Kanata covered Ghost Rule which is by the same artist as Hibana but that might not mean much)

Everyone loves Error and Palette as her theme songs and I do too. But I've always had a soft spot for this song. When she was lagging in subs behind her genmates, having to go outside Hololive for collabs...she was the Black Sheep of Hololive. Two years later ..a million subs. Plenty of original songs. EP debuts at 1 on itunes. Top half in Hololive in superchats. Gets to openly Collab with men across the world with no drama. It's not about the numbers, but the TRIUMPH. I am so freaking proud of her. Happy birthday.
