Congratulations to whoever managed to miss Jason Kenny crossing the line to win the gold...

I know he's had much much more pace as a sprinter in other golds, but this will always be my favourite.

The Crown Jewel definitely. Everything you wish you could see. Smells blood in the water and full on attacks it. Outsmarted and outsprinted.

Giving Kenny a 5-10m head start is like giving Verstappen a 10 second head start. “What’s the worst that can happen lads? Oh.”

Likewise, so wonderfully exploiting the opportunity available to him.

What a classic. Has to be the best ever gold medal win. Love the way he looked over his shoulder - saw a big gap and thought 'i'll have some of that!!'. Even better was the normally calm and wonderfully collected, Chris Boardman - muttering 'He's gone'!!

Really poor camerawork not catching him crossing the line on a memorable finish.

Don’t blame the camera operator, blame the producer who chosen which camera we see.

He got so far ahead that they were worried more about silver and bronze than gold. This was no accident, he split away from them to spilt the chasing pack up.

You never cycle at such hi speed. The 3rd & 4th guy from start can not bypass the 2nd guy at the beginning because it will drain the energy. That is why the 3rd & 4th guy need to be patience & let go gold medal after saw Jason Kenny far at the front. Otherwise the 3rd & 4th guy can not win silver & bronze either. The guy behind jason kenny from start is the worst. He know he can not win and trying to have bronze or silver. He know he can not beat Jason Kenny so he trying to control 3rd and 4th guy that for sure will win silver & bronze. At the end he got nothing at the same time shatter silver & bronze guy to win the gold.

After a while the rest were just competing for silver and they knew it. No one was willing to sacrifice themselves to pursue Jason. Shame the cameraman cut away just before he crossed the line 😐

Part of the genius of the move was that it instantly makes Glaetser hesitant because he doesn't want to be in the wind. He had to though and ended up second last as a result

I always imagine the rest of the pack giving Glaetzer a good kicking after this race, for letting Kenny’s wheel go and messing up their race. Just hilarious.

Even a pro who start all out from start will finished last against amateur rider . Kenny won because galetzer helped him
@Daz555Daz2 жыл бұрын
@@laobe5119 he inadvertently helped him by focusing on those behind. Those behind also helped him by focusing on Glaetzer. They all ruled out Kenny as a potential winner and were not alert to the threat developing. The GOAT made them pay.

They all underestimated Jason Kenny and he outsmarted them. A thoroughly deserved win and what a win to end his career on 🥇👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
