Tokyo, Japan is soooo beautiful. The snow takes it to the next level. Nothing like it in the whole world. And unlike most places elsewhere when people are "freaking out" about the weather, Japanese people really take it in stride. There is a lesson to be learned just watching this and better yet, living or visiting Japan.

この前福岡も珍しく雪が積もって雪遊びして楽しかった。 Last time in Fukuoka, snow was piled up and it was fun to play with snow.

東京で雪に備えたイルミネーションなんて準備してるわけないから、これは全くの偶然の風景。もともと常なる「光の巷」だもんね。それにしても美しい！雪国の美とはまた違う絢爛豪華さ。 東京で一発大雪になると交通がマヒしてエラいことになるけど、その裏返しにこれほど美しい風景が現出するとは、「雪の東京」観光もアリっちゃアリだね。ただしこれくらいの降雪は今じゃ5年か10年に一度くらい、なおかついつ降るかわからないってのがなあ。

the scene from shinjuku terrace is so beautiful. i like how the colored lights glows underneath the snow covered bushes. Too bad Shinjuku Gyoen wasnt shown....
