Trying to explain to my 8 yo son how much this man meant to the car community. I remember watching fast and the furious at 18 years old at the drive in theatre back in 2000. Ugh how time flies 🙏🏼

Badass and love the ending. Car looked like it was going to jump in the air and take flight. That's how fast it looked like u were going. Some of those drifts were breath taking beautiful and some made me understand the true power that Horsey was putting out. Damn good driving. Wish I could have been in there with u.

Gymkhana Drift: Ken Block is perhaps best known for his Gymkhana series of videos. In Gymkhana, he combines elements of drifting, precision driving, and stunts in a controlled environment, often using tight courses filled with obstacles like cones and barrels. Aerial Donuts: In several of his videos, Ken Block has pulled off what he calls "Aerial Donuts." This involves using a jump or a ramp to launch the car into the air while spinning it in a donut shape. 180-degree J-Turn: Block has demonstrated his ability to perform a 180-degree J-turn, where the car rapidly changes direction by turning 180 degrees while moving in reverse. This maneuver requires precise control of both the steering and throttle. Handbrake Drifts: Handbrake or e-brake drifts are a fundamental drifting technique. Ken Block employs this technique to initiate and control drifts, allowing him to slide the rear of the car around corners while maintaining control. Power Slides: Block is known for his expert control over the throttle and steering inputs to execute power slides. This involves sliding the car sideways while maintaining speed and control. Parallel Parking Drift: In one of his Gymkhana videos, Ken Block demonstrated his parallel parking skills by drifting his car into a narrow parking spot with precision. This showcased his ability to control the car in tight spaces. Donut Boxes: Donut boxes are small, confined spaces where Ken Block showcases his ability to perform continuous donuts while navigating through a tight course filled with obstacles. Jump Drifts: Ken Block has executed impressive jump drifts where he launches his car off a ramp while simultaneously drifting. This combines precision driving with aerial stunts. Tight Corner Drifts: Block's drifting skills are evident when he takes on tight hairpin corners at high speeds, drifting through them with precision and control. Blindfolded Drift: In a unique and daring stunt, Ken Block attempted to drift a car blindfolded with the guidance of a co-driver. This demonstrated his incredible trust in his driving skills and the ability to drift by feel and sound. 1. Gymkhana Drift: -Choose a suitable location with a defined course that includes obstacles like cones or barrels. -Approach the course at a moderate speed, and use controlled throttle and steering inputs to initiate drifts around the obstacles. Maintain precise control of the car while sliding and avoid hitting obstacles. 2. Aerial Donuts: -Find a location with a jump or ramp. -Approach the jump at the right speed and angle to launch the car into the air. -Simultaneously apply throttle and steer to initiate the donut spin while airborne. -Land the car safely and maintain control during the descent. 3. Handbrake Drifts: -Approach a corner at a higher speed than usual. -As you enter the corner, pull the handbrake (e-brake) to lock the rear wheels. -Use steering and throttle inputs to control the slide and maintain control while drifting. -Release the handbrake when necessary to exit the drift smoothly. 4. Power Slides: -Apply gentle throttle and initiate a slide by counter-steering. -Balance throttle and steering to maintain the slide while controlling the direction and angle of the drift. 5. Parallel Parking Drift: -Approach the parking spot with enough speed to initiate a drift. -Use precise steering, throttle, and handbrake control to slide the car into the parking space. -Straighten the car once it's in the desired position. 6. Donut Boxes: -Enter the donut box with enough speed to maintain momentum. -Apply throttle and use steering inputs to perform continuous donuts while avoiding obstacles. 7. Jump Drifts: -Approach a suitable jump or ramp at the right speed and angle. -Time the initiation of the drift to coincide with the jump. -Maintain control of the car in the air while executing the drift. -Land safely and continue the drift if needed. 8. Tight Corner Drifts: -Approach the tight corner with appropriate speed. -Initiate the drift using controlled throttle and steering inputs. -Maintain the slide while navigating the corner with precision. 9. Blindfolded Drift (Not Recommended): -This is an extremely dangerous stunt and should not be attempted without professional guidance and in a controlled environment. It involves complete trust in a co-driver who provides instructions based on sound and feel.
