When this was first announced, I decided to pass on the Tokyo edition. I am still trying to use up my hoard, first, and foremost. But I've become somewhat of a local in Japan after nearly 7 and a half years of living here. I think tourists would appreciate this set a lot more! But, I think when the time comes for me to leave this beautiful country, I will pick up the standard Tokyo Station edition and/or the Narita Airport edition.

Oh wow that’s is a suede-y black tn! My Narita airport tn is super super smooth, I didn’t know black TNs could even have a suede texture!

I feel like I’m alone in not loving the Cover. I like the holographic design and I love the letterpress insert, charms, stickers and pencil, and I did get the insert and stickers. It’s so petty but I feel like the ginkgo leaf Y is out of scale to the other “letters” and too small.

The graphic on the back of the multi-colored insert references the "Tora-san" movie series that was popular in Japan and has a Guiness Book of World Records designation as the longest running movie series of all time! When I saw it, (the insert) it was cool!!! Thanks for the video!

Does anyone know how stock for the special releases is in Japan? I’ve been holding off buying anything until I go to Japan late next year month and wondering what the chances are I might find this in Nakameguro.

I think you'll be able to find it in some stores but since it is the 2024 limited edition release, it might be harder to find!
