[Tokyo Mega Loop] Keiyō, Musashino, Nambu, Tsurumi, and Yokohama Line Trains (April 2024) [4k]

The Tokyo Mega Loop is an unofficial term for the Keiyō, Musashino, Nambu, and Yokohama Lines, which form a ring around the city of Tokyo.
The Keiyō Line and Musashino Lines were originally conceived as freight lines, but are now surrounded by dense development. The Keiyō Line, known for its usage of the scrapped Narita Shinkansen in central Tokyo, connects Tokyo and Chiba, with through service past Soga to the Uchibō and Sotobō Lines. It is infamous for the recent debacle over cuts to express service along the line, which primarily benefit local stations while severely impacting travel times from those in the rural parts of Chiba Prefecture to Tokyo. The Musashino Line, forming a wide ring around the north half of Tokyo, is perpetually crowded and a critical connector line for transfers.
The Nambu Line is the main passenger service from western Tokyo to Kawasaki, and covers the gap in service on the Musashino Line where the line becomes freight only. It has a branch shuttle that serves some industrial areas, which is closely associated with the Tsurumi Line, which, while not technically part of the Mega Loop, is a unique commuter-focused line in the Tokyo area.
The Yokohama Line is the final component of the Mega Loop, but I have no footage of it excluding the parts where its trains through-operate onto the Negishi Line. These clips will be featured in a later video focusing on the Tōkaidō direction.
In this video, the representative Musashino clip is of the Shimōsa-go, a fairly uncommon train that only runs a few times a day. I was lucky to get that clip!
