Frankly I'm a total Kishu fangirl, but I don't blame Ichigo at all. I think if Ichigo had given up and gone with him all those times he asked her, it wouldn't have been Ichigo, the girl that he loved, anymore. He wouldn't have ended up happy no matter what she did.

@@isobelduncan I think the problem was that the writers thought we would despise Kisshu because he is so problematic and we would love Aoyama-kun because he is the ideal anime boyfriend but it worked the other way around, I simply can’t ship Ichigo with Aoyama because the guy is so perfect and shallow it’s annoying and we like Kisshu because even though he is an “alien” he feels much more “human” than Aoyama, Kisshu is tridimensional, has his own personality, flaws and dreams

True. He probably doesn't know how to express his feelings in a healthy way. On top of that he definitely has some issues. Although his character does grow slowly in the manga.

I always wanted Ichigo end up with Kisshu instead Ryou or Masaya. Kisshu really loved her even if he acted violently. But I think Kisshu didn't really understood human girls. I don't agree with him acting so violently and brutally, but he cared for Ichigo so much. Maybe he would change if Ichigo would give him a chance.

maybe i’m crazy but i don’t understand why they’d be shipped other than quiche literally harassing her. he tried to kill her and her friends multiple times and made creepy moves towards her. this isn’t a matter of him not understanding human girls, it’s a matter of him literally making her uncomfortable and trying to have her even when she said no. aoyoma loved her and cared for her and worried for her when quiche only did that before he died.

Dren was his name in the English dub. In the Manga it's Kish (pronounced Kisshu) which translates to Quiche in English.

@@isobelduncan Yeah there had a real obsession with food like names with that show XD. Maybe it's because I watched the dub first but I kinda preferred the English names because they didn't have that food based connection to them all (wall the main girls and the aliens anyway) though I still use the japanses names when referring to most of them except Ichigo's two friends and the boys who the cafe, for the life of me I can never remember the names of those boys, especially the brunette one.
