It really amazes me how Tokyo is so clean, modern and safe. Having been there last summer, seeing this footage brings tons of memory back... What still amazes me is how this huge city can feel so quiet at night. Of course the large street are always a bit busy, but once you get away form them and walk inside the side streets in a residential neighborhood with old small houses... The vibe is just so different form the large modern building of the avenue. And it's so calm and quiet! Our apartment we got in Tokyo was neat the skytree, in front of a large park, I can tell you that in the middle of the night, it felt so relaxing going to the kombini buying some coffee and snacks and eating them on a bench in the dark. Not dangerous at all too. I can't eve imagine doing this here in France. Also what struck my is... People doesn't park their car along the street! Well, some of them were but only like truck fro delivery, police, or taxi... But none left their car like we do here, making the street a complete mess with no order. I really want to get back there as soon as possible.

I think you've inspired an entire set of walking/riding courses throughout the Tokyo area. I think a big part of the fun is trying to figure out on a map where you started and what route you take, but for those of us that don't want the challenge, it might be really cool to provide a link to a Google Map or something with the route you took. Nice tour. One request if u don't mind. Light spot of headlight is annoying. Can u dim your headlight or replace it with a good bike's model which have no spot? Or maybe tape simple diffuser from piece of paper.

Just curious, does Tokyo have anything in the way of Electric Bikes that people could rent to ride around the city?when I started to hear all that banging around the 8 minute mark or so, first thought, Oh No please Dont tell me he has a flat tire, not this early into the ride...LOL

I think there is a very basic bike sharing system but no electric bikes as far as I know. But most parts of Tokyo aren't very hilly anyways.
