There are many cheap hostels at Minami-Senju.
For Japanese, Minami-Senju is famous as "day laborers town".
For foreigners, Minami-Senju was famous as "backpackers' hostel town".
Recently, as the Japanese yen has weakened, you can now stay at any hotel for cheap, so there may not be as many foreign tourists as there used to be.
However, it is still a convenient town for young, cash-poor travelers, as you can still find cheap accommodation.
