As another person said, very Mines of Moria like. That noise overhead was actually a fool of a Took pushing a chained skeleton down a well. I can see Eric fighting a Balrog to save Kyde "run, you fool!" Get better you two, chicken soup and OJ.

This is amazing and he scale is mildly terrifying. I hope they do regular inspections (pretty sure they do), but it is kind of mind-blowing at the amount of water of those 200-year floods.

The size and scale of those tunnels is just crazy! I would love to have seen the size of the pumps that are needed to pump all that water away into the river. They must be huge!

I think i learned about this place from some NHK show. Knowing how far out in the inaka it is i probably would have never visited it myself. Thanks for sharing this experience!

Very cool! We have a similar system here in São Paulo, Brazil. But not that complex, they just store the the water from overflowing rivers. We called them “piscinões”(big pools).

Wow, what a huge system that appears to be. I would bet those who benefit from it are glad it exists. Sadly I dont think any major cities in Aus have such an extensive system. It was fascinating. Hope you two had fun!😀

@@kydeanderic Cool! Do you make music for a living? I have a few friends who are pro musicians, but none of them composes. Writing your own music (especially if it's as good as your theme music) is uncommon and genuinely creative.

It looks like the set for the next blade runner movie,, Kyde is obviously the next Blue Peter presenter this was a tvshow where they'd regularly end up donning a harness and helmet then scale Nelson's Column, etc,, you'd think maybe in the US they'd b a White Water rafting franchise next door,, I bet even flushing the loo after being Underhill is dizzying,, 😏
