You can use your blinkers (activated with the D-pad) to tell the npc which route you want to go and they will follow you

@@chrisswanson9125 So real, and what's weak about the draws in higher ranks is half the time you have to run back to the damn garage cause a draw happened and you got no tires left (on soft, idk if it really does THAT much but I always make sure to choose them lol). I did notice when I throw on the hazards for fun if I'm waiting on the shoulder for a rival/wanderer to show up from behind to race it seems like they throw theirs on too like how it is in the beginning race cutscene, but maybe that's coincidence or there is some merit to signalling in this game which would be cool.

Some other tips based on this video - 1. I'd actually recommend at this point in the game, tuning your transmission (final ratio esp) much higher to favor acceleration. You will lose a few MPH on top speed, but you will need that acceleration for some rivals and bosses soon until you get more upgrades. 2. Currently, there is not enough BP available to get everything unlocked, so I'd recommend using your BP to get all the tuning parts and cars unlocked first, then get your ATK/DEF upgraded to where your Driver level is 10, then split between maxing out your wallet and selecting useful skills (and expand garage as desired). This will be more relevant later in the Early Access progression.

Ok Theo, i don't think this will help, but here's the thing that you *actually* to know. 1) Some team members only appears at Parking Area (PA). So, visit every PA whenever possible. 2) Some team members will either engage a Consecutive Spirit Point (SP) or 2/3 VS 1 Battle 2.1) Consecutive SP Battle (as shown in the video) is where you will battle one member at time, using the the SP that you safe from the previous battle for the next. 2.2) 2/3 VS 1 Battle started as a normal battle, but it changes to either 2 VS 1 or 3 VS 1 when the rival's SP goes down to 50%, which replenishs both you and the rivals SP for the 2nd round. 3) Wanderers are the side enemies that only race you if you met their requirements. Some are straightforward as driving some distance to absurd one like Wind of Napoli (shown in the video) which requires you to drive more than 62 miles (100 kilometers) and should be driving Suzuki Alto Works for him to battle you. It was light in comparison like Late Night Cinderella (which is known in the current TXR as Cinderella Past Midnight) in TXR Zero which literary only shows up when the PS2 Clock hits 12:00 A.M. All in all, you make a good video, but there's more to learn. (and i don't want this comment to be popular)

just some tips and ideas to help (not sure if anyone has mentioned them or not) - change your map orientation to head up, its under the game setting. it will help with your direction until you learn which route is what - also, drafting does work in this game despite it not being noted anywhere that i know of officially - lastly, when the countdown hits go, if you hit the gas then you get a little acceleration bonus and slight little jump

Another tip I find useful, I change my blinkers to Lb and Rb... Then add digital steering to the Dpad. This works well for minor adjustments for cars that have extreme handling...

There's ways to turn around if you navigate the highway system correctly, for example if you go around the C1 outer loop you would be facing the opposite direction after you looped around. Quicker just to go back to the garage anyway. Also you want a higher gear ratio for shorter gears, lower ratio is a wider gear. The speeds it shows in the tuning menu are often wrong/bugged.

Having played the older games a ton I'd say having the rival follow you is 70% going the way you want them to follow and 30% blinkers It's a bit annoying but I'd rather cop the odd draw over having them only race in one area Blinkers are especially good if the opponent is right behind you since their feeble computer brain needs a moment to compute lol, they usually follow just fine if you're far ahead of them but I put the blinker on anyway just in case I usually just move to the side of the exit i want to take a bit before the fork and very rarely have issues (not much you can do about their path being blocked by unfortunately timed traffic tho) Even if you're behind them I've watched the rivals bug out a bit and flipflop on which way they want to go if you approach the fork from dead center, this gets a lot easier to plan for when you've played for a while and start to memorize the layout of the highway

Yes, you finally figured out the PAs! Far Away's Leader will spawn as soon as you either leave the Garage or a PA. Also note, Wanderers aren't really required for early stages, but will be if you want to fully 100% the game.

You move your final drive slider to the right to go quicker, not the left, you made your gears longer when you need them shorter. I recommend you hit "default" then slide final drive all the way right, then slowly move it back left to get more top speed.

Theo mate, take your time reading and figuring out how the system works. keep in mind the crew you need to battle and their logo. it will help a lot with progressing the game. and also keep in mind each crew will always have one member that never be able to be clicked on the list (crew leaders) they will challenge you as soon as you battled the last person on that team. this will be a pattern you can remember for the rest of the game. keep up the good work tho. and yes the game doesnt really hold your hands with these kind of stuff. but the game does have a pattern most of the times to figure this stuff out. so just keep that in mind

@@zkila i wouldnt really blame theo tbf, he is just not used to these type of games. especially with how modern racing games does it. its basically designed to kill your attention span and get that dopamine hit as soon as possible. txr or rather any genki games dont really do that. they feel much more rewarding the more for figuring it out for yourself and rewards you even more in the later stages

when the objectives only show one crew, and all the members are green (done) go into rivals and race any (all) of the blue racers (not done). and the objective will start to show more racers again. plus there are the car parks where sometimes new racers are, and there is also someone you can talk to which sometimes upgrades your car for the rest of the night (helpful when you have challengers you cannot beat). there might be more to it then that but thats what ive figured out so far, hope that helps...

You should take note of the days, some racers only come out on certain days so they could be the ones you're missing. Basically check the rival list on the map screen everyday.

Long run bonus also gets up to 500k if you get it like 4 times in the same night without perks total of 1.1m just for driving around. With perks even more also you can enable rear view mirror in bonnet cam in the settings. You can also change how your handling works in controller settings.

I have heard some people say that slamming the car to the max may effect its performence as the tires will rub on the inside of the arches but I am not sure if the game has that kind of detail. I belive leaving the ride height at -4 is the optimal option.

In case nobody told you about this game as well as the older games there is some parking areas that you could only go in thru the outer and others thru the inner loops so you have to drive a lot just to find them. Other thing is you gotta beat the driver twice to be able to buy his car for yourself if you care for it. Last thing would be “special requirements” like hoping into a specific car to challenge a particular racer those requirements will usually be told by just talking to them hopefully that helps

Don’t worry too much about wanderer requirements- they can give good money, but they’re generally a bit of an endgame challenge for once you have the budget to get the cars and equipment they require. (Especially in previous games where the rival profiles didn’t actually give you any hints so you’d have to figure out stuff like which license plate to switch to on your own somehow) Also, it’s not necessarily a bad thing to take so many days to progress- I don’t think he’s added yet, but previous games had a wanderer that would only appear after day 365, and he tended to be one of the most annoying requirements because most players would beat literally every other racer in a fraction of that time.

Yeah the engine sounds are pretty whack especially with stock starter cars, but I think Genki actually has the opportunity to improve this with very limited resources. The car audio actually sounds okay in hood cam, even for the unmodified starter cars, but they sound like they lose a lot of RPM when you use 3rd-person cam (and maybe even 1st-person bumper cam). You can even hear this from rival cars in races, when you very slowly pass them or get passed - maybe this whole noise-change thing was done to fake the doppler noise effect without putting more resources for actually simulating it (I can't tell if there's already proper doppler shift effects for the car sounds in the game). Genki could probably just set all engine audio to the hood cam version, and maybe that could somewhat fix the wack-car-sound complaints that a lot of people are having.

Pants, please pin this comment as I have Info on the best way to make the most money and it could help a lot of people. I’ve beaten everyone in the game except Highway Gambler which you need to make a total of 77,777,777 credits to unlock. What you wanna do is race Wind of Napoli, you need to get the Suzuki Alto and Max it out in everything as his Suzuki is maxed out too, you also wanna shorten your gear ratio, he’ll pull at first but you’ll catch him later. After beating him the first time you get 93,000 every time you beat him, highest payout in the game so far. You wanna make sure to have the skill “Wine of Victory level 2” equipped, the credit payout will increase and you can win up to 120,000 every win. Also make sure to have hard tires so you can keep racing for longer. 10 wins against Wind of Napoli earns you 1.3million credits in more or less 10 minutes There’s also an idle way to make money, make sure to have the “Long Runner Lv.3” skill equipped, and with any car get onto the express way and hit U on keyboard or down on the d-pad for controller, this will activate autopilot and you get paid 160,000 credits for “long run” after 20-40 minutes. Your earnings cap out at 1.7mill so make sure to return to the garage and do it again.
