Tolar Grande, population about 200 people, is a remote village in the Puna de Atacama, 357 km from Salta, North West Argentina.
The Ojos del Mar are highly-saline water pools containing Stromatolites, fossil concretions that, through Cyanobacteria, generated the Oxygen on the Earth 3.7 Billion years ago, well before the Chlorophyllian photosynthesis occurred.
