That scale is reserved for Standard reprintings. The only mechanic that's really "broken" the Storm Scale was Affinity with Tezzeret, Master of the Bridge. The scale didn't really cover for non-standard release sets, and Modern Horizon's is a pretty new concept; skipping Standard straight into Eternal formats.

Pauper is great, I run a pauper Zubera deck that I built to let me switch out colors entirely in the sideboard. Its discard and draw (black and blue) and any one other color depending on if I need burn (red), lifegain (white), or swing wide (green). Springleaf drums and mana accelerators let me get my supper low cost cards out quick and stack up an army I want you to kill, and once it hits critical mass, I kill everything to go big on damage (or make myself near impossible to deal with while wiping your hand out from under you). All thanks to pauper being a ton of fun and letting something like this work.

Hey Professor, will there be any other pauper content? Before I discovered the pauper format I was looking for cards and decks which I could buy without spending too much money for it. After one year I found your channel on KZbin and also your pauper videos. I watched almost all of these and it was great to see, that there are so many ways to play magic without spending too much money. Now I have got two of your decks (they are great) and I am still looking for new mechanics. I shared your videos to friends and when they also bought some of the decks, it was funny to see which was the best. I experienced that all the decks you present have good quality and are competitive so I want to ask you, if you maybe can do more of these videos and explain new interesting mechanics? It would be great and me and my friends would enjoy all of these videos. PS: Destroying lands while playing Acid Trip against Ponza is amazing! PPS: I’m from Germany. Sorry for my grammar😅.

Yeah, chatterstorm lists are already very dangerous and can win turn 2 for sure with the Mercadian Masques storage counter lands and the Invasion tri-color sac lands. I am surprised that you didn't mention Galvanic Relay, however, as that really drives chatterstorm's potential through the roof, allowing you to hit many more rituals and manamorphoses, as well as possibly even more galvanic relays! I expect both Chatterstorm and Galvanic Relay to get the axe at some point.

Also I like Glimmer Bairn.

Prof, have you looked into the combo of Cleansing Wildfire and the new artifact lands? There's been a lot of chat on the subreddit about how this combo (using CW as essentially a cantripping red rampant growth) is like a new Astrolabe in the sense that it allows a lot of Rx(x?) decks to run 3+ colors. Probably a lot more fair than astrolabe (and restricted to R), but still interesting.

I just want to first take a moment to thank you for some Pauper content. I'm very appreciative for what you have done to help grow the community for this fine format. I think it's important to note that there is a clear delineation in cost and competitive viability between fun brews and top tier decks. The average deck price for competitive top tier decks has risen, within the last two years in particular. $65 is more accurate if you want to be competitive within the format, however you are correct that you can get in as cheap as $40 if you happen to enjoy playing some of the offerings that fall on the cheaper end of the spectrum. While I myself prefer to play non-tier brews, and in doing so keep more money in my wallet, the competitive pauper metagame largely shapes the format, far more than it did prior to pauper becoming an official competitive MTG format, particularly during the past year where MTGO was about the only way you could play pauper. Hopefully a return to IRL pauper will revitalize the "fun first" attitude that has been steadily waning as more focus is placed on the competitive side of pauper. I can't wait to see more pauper content in the future, hopefully with more focus on those cards and brews that are not format warping. Thanks Prof!

Unfortunately because of the printing of galvanic relay the chatter storm deck is also resilient to something like echoing truth/decay/firey cannonade allowing them to refill on gas to allow them to try again on the following turn. I also think that the meta is warping around chatter storm that isn't healthy because it is forcing main deck inclusions of traditionally SB only cards in a similar way hogak warped modern.
