Our luck finally runs out after almost 3 months in Morocco as we get into trouble with the Moroccan Authorities!! We honestly didn't even think this would be an issue.
Plus we share the truth behind some of the biggest conceptions around travel in Morocco 🇲🇦

strictly speaking it’s illegal to take photos in any commercial port in most countries, it just rarely gets enforced. It comes under spying laws as most commercial ports traditionally were military.

You are 100% correct as at all uk ports there are signs everywhere saying no photography!

I can understand that If you are filming whilst going through the vehicle scanner and passport control document checks but doing tourist type filming is over the top. On the other hand they have instructions that no filming is allowed so just shrug it off.

I was born there on the Atlantic Coast on the northen part about 45 minutes under Tangier(Larache) A lot of people have mix feelling travelling down there because of culture shock. Many thanks. It's good to see happy family having good time travelling together ❤️

I got fined for speeding last year 150 dirham, which is about £12, was shown my speed on the radar camera and given an official receipt for the money I paid so all seemed above board, much cheaper and less hassle when I was caught in the uk

I loved your journey through Spain and Morocco ( a place I haven't been to). I am now in my 9th decade so will not be traveling again unfortunately. I really look forward to watching your lovely family enjoying life on the road. Very best wishes from New Zealand. @@mavisgetsaboutDon't expect nice weather that time of the year. I was there on the motorbike during the last week of March and the weather broke on the Friday and Saturday, the last 700K were done under very wet conditions. In December you can expect it to be worse. If you want to go up into the Atlas mountains, Agoudal area, you may find heavy snow falls and sub-zero temperatures. In September it should be great.

I went to Morocco many years ago, never again, I hated every single minute of it. The people were friendly but the place was filthy and so was the hotel. The meals where shocking and both my Partner and I were both really ill for over 6 weeks when we returned. Thankfully, we were only there for 3 days which was more than enough. I was so pleased to get back to Portugal.

Regarding the speeding fines, bear in mind that travelling by car or motor-caravan is very different from going on a motorcycle (my experience) in a group of ten bikes - we were not stopped one single time; as you have correctly mentioned there are police checkpoints at the entrance and exit of every town and village. It was suggested to me that motorcycles do not fall foul of the speed cameras because we only have a number plate at the back. In any case we were waved through every time by a smiling policeman.

Guys, not to be nit-picky, but I just wanted to point it out in case it was over-looked. At times, for little moments here and there, your volume either cuts out completely, or on the left or right ear, if that makes sense? one example is at 9:10 into the vid. Again, not complaining, I'd just want to know if it were me so I thought I'd give you a heads up. Great vid, hope Ted feels better soon! ♥

Good video. There are many places in the UK where you are not allowed to film either like some railway station, airports sea and ferry ports but in many cases it is the just the overzealous security staff that doesn't want people to film. I lost count on the number of times i travelled between Dover and Calais and I always film once I'm through passport control but on one occasion |i got very rudely barked at at at check-in and the geezer told me it is illegal to film which, of course, was nonsense.

I have had severall interactions with Moroccan police, and found them to be very polite and fair. One time we were stopped for speeding 65 kph in a 40 kph limit. I apologised (in French) and expressed my surprise at how low the limit in towns were. He showed me the sign for the end of the town showing the speed limit. He accepted my apology and sent us on our way with no fine. As we left he saluted us. I am booked on the 8 am ferry tomorrow from Algeciras to Tanger Med. Just a short trip with some biker friends.

I will tell you something! Do not go to netherlands with your truck! The campsites for campers, are very expensive. And there is nowhere in netherlands where you can park up for free! vrij camping in netherlands is illegal so you will get a fine. you also cannot camp with a tent in the wilds. And now in 2025 if you get a fine from the police any fine in the netherlands. police cannot accept payment like in the old days when for example if you were speeding the police give the the fine, and you must drive to the ATM with the police following and hand money over for the fine but those days are gone so if you get caught vrij camping or speeding or whatever. you must be taken to the police station, where they call the dutch department of justice,And the department of justice makes a court date for you.And it can be months later. But you still have to go to the court where they issue your fine.If you dont go to the court they have the registration of your vehicle. And if you return another time to the netherlands number plate recognition will flag your van.And cops will come and arrest you,for not going to court, and the original fine.

I often wonder why anybody wants to travel around Morocco. There was Eamon and Bec, TBT and now you guys. Don't tell me you went there for the tea or the food, or the Sahara or clay buildings. I went there in 1970 for 2 weeks, staying in a God forsaken country where hygiene is a new word. Goats slaughtered in the street with their blood flowing in a central gutter. Flies having a feast everywhere. Beaches littered with human waste. The holiday from HELL. But followed you back to Algerciras and normality. Don't go there again or maybe you will.

When you mention fruit and Vegetables in Morocco,They use a lot of Chemicals, We live in Spain and there is a big issue with Local markets selling fruit and veg from Moroccan stalls. They do not have the same quality control.

Spanish farmers are creating all sorts of excuses to defame Moroccan veggies and fruits as they can no longer compete. Even European farmers themselves can't stand each other and resort to rude behaviours towards each other's products

The police are corrupt. One police officer put a stop sign in the road in the middle of nowhere then stood in the road 50m behind it. So everybody assumes this is check point and stop at the officer instead of the sign. He then tries to fine you for not stopping at the stop sign. Also there are countless youtubers documenting how they've been scammed, robbed and accosted in morroco, including me. Please do your research before claim it's safe.

We are speaking from our own experience of Morocco, from the 3 months that we spent there. We aren't going to sit here and say it's not safe based on other peoples experiences. 👍

You go abroad to another country "BE PREPARED" do not think you have rights you don't. Dont think you have a common sense attitude you don't. Dont think that being nice is going to help it wont or even be balshy that wont either. Read up on your country does and don't they will probably warn you of these. If you come across as a now it all it will be worse.

As an old European lorry driver, sailed weekly on ferries for the best part of 45 years, I know it a Ship, but we always referred to amongst us drivers as catching 'the boat' never catching the ship or Ferry 😉
